The young man that helped me was so nice and helpful. He was probably the nicest young man I come across in food service

Took my in laws here for the first time today. I have been to the location that used to be at the Pizitz in downtown Bham, but never to this location. The food was amazing! My in laws had never had Jerusalem food before and they didn't know what to expect. I helped guide them as to what to order and they all loved it. Service was fantastic! We will be back.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 an actual 5 star experience!
I have been vegan for 11 years all in the state of Alabama. Most restaurants could care less about my vegan belly and any available options seem like an afterthought. But not at Eli's!!
First off, as we walked in the door others were coming out with the biggest smiles on their faces (direct effect of happy tummies 😋) and when they saw us looking the menu on the window outside they knew we were first timers and began loading us with what we should get and how much we were gonna love the place. OKAY!! Then we get inside and we're greeted by 2 of the sweetest kids working there (old enough to work there, but hey I'm easily 3 times their age). Atmosphere on point, period.
Now for this food! I'm not new to Mediterranean food. It's easily my top 3 favorite cuisines. But the food at this place was incredible. I'm not over reacting, just try it. The freshness and flavors taste like no other Mediterranean restaurant we've gone to. If you've heard about this place, believe the hype.
And to think all this is because of a vegan plate for me and my pescatarian Hubby that enjoyed the salmon dinner very much. We have no doubt that every item on this menu is just as amazing.
You're welcome 😁.

All goes good and well but beware with placing your order to go. Several times where pita bread is left out. Sucks too when you leave a good tip and only relieve half the damn order.

The food was good, agree that rice and couscous was dry and not very tasty. But lamb, chicken, humus was very good.
The service was very bad. They were rude with my kids…
Definitely not coming back for a dine in…

It's not a gourmet Mediterranean restaurant. But it's 5 stars for what it is meant to be. Which is an excellent small cafe style eatery with excellent dishes from that region of the world. The flavors and textures are just as good as any local favorite that can found in and around that part of the Middle East. And just like that part of world, great service is the norm.

Review of Eli Jerusalem Grill
This was my second visit to Eli Jerusalem Grill, and once again, it was a great experience. This time, I tried the beef and lamb shawarma sandwich. While the sandwich was good, I think I’ll stick to the plate next time—it just feels more satisfying overall. One thing I love to do is combine the green and white sauces together, which creates just the right amount of kick to complement the meal perfectly.
The staff at Eli Jerusalem Grill is exceptionally kind, and the owner adds a personal touch by coming out to check on guests multiple times during their visit. This level of attention and care creates a unique and welcoming dining experience that truly stands out.
I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious Mediterranean food in a friendly and inviting atmosphere. Whether it’s your first time or your second, Eli Jerusalem Grill is worth the visit!

Fantastic food. Clean dining area. Quick and friendly service. Some of the best pita bread I’ve ever had. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

Hands down our go to restaurant in Birmingham. Family owned, all organic and ridiculously good! The best lamb chops you will ever have. I promise. The best wild caught salmon you will ever have. Everything is fresh and healthy! Wish I could give them ten stars. Five is not enough 💙
