We ordered take out. The employees were very friendly however the food was not good. It was tasteless and the kabob meal had one skewer. For 15.75 for the plate you would expect more than a couple of bites of meat.

We stopped here while passing through the area on a trip. I wish we were close enough to return. The food was amazing! Sandwich/wrap portions were good-sized. With an appetizer, I only ate half of mine. My husband ate his whole sandwich and a kebab. Prices reflect the quality of the food.

Rice was hard and bland, the meat was very dry and flavorless. Even the soda was flat. I did enjoy the Israeli salad, but that alone isn't worth going back for. Very disappointing.

Been going here for years. Food was excellent as always. Went with some friends and our toddler was with us. Apparently the owner wasn’t ok with our toddler tapping her fork on the table and sent a server that wasn’t ours to tell us that they will take away her silverware if she didn’t stop. We are always mindful and aware of noise levels with our little one and never intend to disturb patrons at businesses, but this was just embarrassing behavior from this place. We will not be returning and, if you have toddlers, I would tell you to stay away also.

SINCERELY RECOMMEND this authentic Israeli restaurant. Extremely delicious, fresh, flavorful and amazing dishes. Their prices are very reasonable for the quality and amount of food for each dish. I’ve had Israeli dishes back in California and Eli’s is the only closest to homemade. I absolutely enjoy this restaurant.

Took my in laws here for the first time today. I have been to the location that used to be at the Pizitz in downtown Bham, but never to this location. The food was amazing! My in laws had never had Jerusalem food before and they didn't know what to expect. I helped guide them as to what to order and they all loved it. Service was fantastic! We will be back.

Most restaurants could care less about my vegan belly and any available options seem like an afterthought. But not at Eli's!! First off, as we walked in the door others were coming out with the biggest smiles on their faces (direct effect of happy tummies 😋) and when they saw us looking the menu on the window outside they knew we were first timers and began loading us with what we should get and how much we were gonna love the place. OKAY!! Then we get inside and we're greeted by 2 of the sweetest kids working there (old enough to work there, but hey I'm easily 3 times their age). Atmosphere on point, period. Now for this food! I'm not new to Mediterranean food. It's easily my top 3 favorite cuisines. But the food at this place was incredible. I'm not over reacting, just try it. The freshness and flavors taste like no other Mediterranean restaurant we've gone to. If you've heard about this place, believe the hype. And to think all this is because of a vegan plate for me and my pescatarian Hubby that enjoyed the salmon dinner very much. We have no doubt that every item on this menu is just as amazing.
