Eugene's Hot Chicken - Uptown

My order did take a bit but my chicken sandwich was so delicious! You can choose heat level, sauce, and side so I got the fried okra and my mom got the fries. Both were absolutely wonderful and seasoned perfectly

Waffles were undercooked & spongy !! Cooks too busy to care about quality of food , just cook it fast & give it the customer as fast as possible!!
Chicken was cooked fully only because if under cooked , could get someone sick !!
2 chicken & waffle meals without drinks or any side dishes was a whopping 28.00 dollars without a tip !! Very few bar seats in restaurant & the wait time for the food was very lengthy!!
Strongly recommend not wasting your time going to this restaurant!!

Terrible Experience – Never Coming Back!

I had one of the worst customer service experiences at Eugene’s Hot Chicken. First, the cashier completely messed up my order. Then, the woman who brought us our food didn’t understand anything we were asking. My cousin simply asked for butter, and she acted totally confused like she had no idea what that even was.

It got even worse when the manager got involved. She had a nasty, unprofessional attitude and was incredibly rude to my mother. Things escalated when she actually threatened my cousin—completely unacceptable behavior from someone in charge. I left before it got uglier, but I can confidently say I will never spend another dollar here. Do better.

Stopped by on our way to Georgia and let me tell you, this place is absolutely delicious! The food is cooked to order, and the dipping sauces are fantastic! I don’t know that I’ve eaten better fried chicken anywhere else. We will be coming back for sure.

This place is so good! The vegan sandwich was amazing. I believe (though I didn’t ask to confirm) that the patty was a Gardein patty. I asked for the “hot” spicy level and it was perfect. The pickled fried okra was mind blowingly good.

Mr.John Coffee aka Terrell needs bigger utensils to fit him he is a great worker and I feel like he will look great with his size utensils Great customer service awesome atmosphere and great food
