I work nearby and go here once a week, and that is always my favorite day for lunch. Everything I have gotten here is good, my favorites are chicken or gyro salad and the beef shwarma or falafel pita. The ingredients are high quality and delicious and you can add a lot of toppings to whatever you get. The portions aren't massive, but the value is still probably the best of any middle eastern restaurant in Birmingham, and the food is better too. Service is friendly and helpful too.

Great food, we're from the Netherlands and wanted to have some shawarma. It's more difficult to find here then at home. The Falafel Cafe did not disappoint! Ordered a chicken shawarma and falafel wrap. Tasted good and fresh! Definitely one of the best meals we had in the US!

We've been to Falafel Cafe years ago and we loved it. Then they changed up a bit and we didn't enjoy it. Today in 2025 we went back and took a chance and we're glad we did. Falafel Cafe is back to being amazing! From the falafel, hummus, the beef schwarma so delicious you won't be disappointed.
I commute from Tuscaloosa to Bessemer, but will drive 20 minutes further into Birmingham for this place. So good

This was my first time trying food from here, and I’m so glad I did! I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap and falafel both were absolutely delicious. The flavors were fresh and everything was made to perfection. The staff was friendly, and the service was quick. I’ll definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend!
