If you love high-quality, amazing food and enjoy Southern cuisine, I cannot recommend this place enough. The culinary attention to detail in every dish is truly outstanding. Do not be deceived by the humbleness of the menu; every single dish is deceptive in its simplicity. When you take a bite you experience multiple dimensions of flavor. We had several dishes and all of them were amazing. I also had the best piece of chicken I have ever had in my life… and that is saying a lot. I only wish I was a local, because I would be there at least once a week!

My wife and I tried The Fig Tree last night for the first time and it was very good. The chef has a flair for southern/cajun food and the menu shows it. I got the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and okra. The chicken was very good and the potatoes were good but the okra seems to be frozen and not fresh. My wife got the chef's pasta and it was very tasty. The space is sort of small and not very appealing but the food makes up for it. The prices were a little high as well but with a small space, it has to be made up somewhere to stay open.

Love this hidden gem of a restaurant, food was awesome, wait was great, drinks & fried green tomatoes were a good way to start the meal. Ambience provides an intimate dining experience, due to the size of the dining room, which I love. Appreciate the chef coming out to socialize for a minutes as well.

First, let me say our server was doing his best and this is in no way reflection of him. But we were a party of 8, with reservations at 12. We arrived on time and we're seated about 10 min later. It went down hill from there. Our server has 2 additional tables (or seemed to) along with our table. These tables finished and additional tables were seated, ordered and SERVED prior to us receiving our appetizers. The server was very gracious and stated he thought he was trying but was moving slow. We then assured him that the issue was not with him, but with the fact that NO ONE else helped him. When we approached another server he blamed our server and made excuses for why he himself did not offer to help. Overall, the food is good but service was deplorable due to lack of staff helping other staff. When I read reviews I always take them with a grain of salt, so same with this one. Again, food was fine. But service was not. Makes me think, was it just "us". We have been here several times...even with company events. We won't be back.

Food is good. Service was unreasonably slow for us. All of the tables that arrived after us received their food & we were still waiting for our food an hour later. It took me 30 minutes to get a drink. We were the last ones served food even though 4 tables arrived after us. I do not recommend. The ambiance is dated even after a renovation. Again, I do not recommend. When we voiced that our server needed assistance, the manager ignored us, as if we didn't matter. Did I say, "I do not recommend?"

The chef is very down to earth and makes incredible food! He came out to talk to us and made sure we enjoyed our food since they were out of an ingredient. The food was still phenomenal. He could easily have not told me and I wouldn't have noticed. We will be back again soon!
