The team is so pleasant and they pay very close attention to dietary needs and restrictions. The daily special of vegan ramen always hits!!! Definitely one of the top spots in town.

Came to Golden temple today and was excited because I moved from Birmingham and my best friend wanted to go. When we came in I was greeted by a very friendly cashier. Everything was expected but we had one female sales associate in skinny jeans, (I never got her name but we were there at 1200) that we felt followed us around the store. Every isle we ended up on she somehow popped up, never asked us did we need help but asked everyone else in the store. At first we thought it was coincidence. It wasn't until she approached us to ask us "is carrying a cart your shopping strategy or not?" because we didn't have a cart. We really were exploring the store more than anything. It really upset me and my best friend to the point where we decided to put our things back on the shelf minus one thing that I absolutely wanted. She made us feel like we were stealing or at the very least trying to steal when we were just trying to enjoy a neat establishment. She even made her way to the register while I was checking out. Probably won't return after that.

Love to shop the store for the variety of teas. The peppermint tea served in the cafe is delicious. I recently ate in the cafe and had the tofu and veggie stirfry. It was WAYYY too salty! I was happy to have the thai coconut soup on the side with rice. That was delicious!

Yes, it feels like a hippie store and yes that's why I like it. Friendly, welcoming, inclusive (unless you insist on animal carcasses), with great vegan food, and plenty of esoteric goods. I feel like I'm transported to an updated 70s. Not sure what it is but I received two of the best smiles of the year in only a few minutes talking to staff.

His place is great! Like others have said it’s a throwback to a simpler time. The menu is not fancy or full of boutique fusion dishes . It’s is basic solid wholesome foods . They have daily lunch specials that are huge portions an super tasty. As far as price it is no more expensive than anyplace that has jumped on the it’s vegan we can charge more wagon?and GT gives you what you pay for .

From what I have heard, this place has been serving up vegan and vegetarian meals since the ‘60s. There’s a reason they’re still in business today. Delicious food and reasonably priced. We had a group of five and got out for about $55.
