I appreciate that this establishment accommodates vegetarians and vegans. Slightly more expensive than I prefer for a casual lunch restaurant, I often pay a minimum of $15 per visit, but the portions are generous. The food is of high quality and the components are of good standard. This is my preferred location for breakfast and brunch. I frequent this place for the sweet and sour tofu. They were ideal for my palate. Additionally, the store features a wide variety of vitamins and other nutrients on one side, while the other side showcases crystals and apparel. You are allowed to try on some of the items.

Amazing market with tons and tons and tons to look at! They have an amazing selection of gifts, books, clothes, bags, and seriously so much more! The entire staff was helpful and making sure everyone was taken care of.

Yes, it feels like a hippie store and yes that's why I like it. Friendly, welcoming, inclusive (unless you insist on animal carcasses), with great vegan food, and plenty of esoteric goods. I feel like I'm transported to an updated 70s. Not sure what it is but I received two of the best smiles of the year in only a few minutes talking to staff.

Golden Temple has some really nice authentic products all the way from teas, soaps, vitamins and supplements, vegetables & herbs, fresh clean water, essentials are great.

A California vibe. As usual, loved it.

From what I have heard, this place has been serving up vegan and vegetarian meals since the ‘60s. There’s a reason they’re still in business today. Delicious food and reasonably priced. We had a group of five and got out for about $55.

I like that golden temple is one of the few places in the Bham area that offers healthy, whole food based veg meals. Their menu is very basic, but tasty. The mushroom hot chocolate they have right now is amazing. Get it with the Om mushroom hot cocoa powder and almond milk. The store has wonderful vibes as well. If your wiccan/pagan/ecclectic, you'll enjoy it here.

golden temple is a birmingham plant-based staple. if not for the food, it’s worth a visit for the atmosphere/experience. i usually only order a coffee or tea at the cafe, but recently tried the vegan golden temple stack with grilled veggies. my friend ordered the black bean burrito. both options were fairly good (though the veggies were a bit too oily for me). golden temple is a great adventure for a vegan foodie!

I have an issue with the other side. I literally frequent them at least 3 times a week and bring others in as well. One of my fav places to purchase all my herbal needs as well as healthy food. However I was purchasing the Madhava Organic Light Agave from them on the regular although Publix was a$1.50 cents cheaper. Simply because I loved this place. Rings you name it, i purchase. Well the Agave 23.5 oz. was being sold last week for 7.69 cents so I sent my coworker there to get us all more and needless to say they had jacked the price up to 10.99! now thats just ridiculous that it went up 3 whole dollars in less than 2 days of my last purchase. When she returned I thought it was a mistake until the receipt and the bottle now said 10.99 when Publix has it for 6.83! I called and someone said they would get the buyer to call me back because maybe it was a misprint. NOONE CALLED ME AND THIS IS RUBBISH! same size, same brand, 2 days later cost 3 dollars more when everywhere else its under 7 bucks. Even if the cost went up for the buyer it could not have been enough to jack the price up 3 dollars. Now it makes me question the prices I thought were good. From now on ill be price matching and visiting them less and less . May not be much to anyone else but as a frequent shopper and an item i purchase often , its a lot to me. So Publix and amazon it is!
