Great Wall Chinese Restaurant

I’m visiting from Nashville and this place came highly recommended — and it did not disappoint! I had the special today, along with an egg roll and soup, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The egg roll was crispy and delicious, and the soup hit the spot.

The staff was friendly, service was fast, and the portions were generous. This is definitely a local gem in Homewood. I’ll be back next time I’m in town!

Phenomenal restaurant. The food is excellent and easily the best Chinese food I’ve had in Alabama. The authentic Chinese dishes are rich in flavor with a good level of heat, the Americanized Chinese dishes are treated with a similar level of care and freshness. 10/10 would get takeout here at least once every other week if I were local.

it’s Christmas day and it was insanely packed! Despite how busy it was, service was excellent and the food was delicious! We had the dan dan noodles, wontons in spicy peanut sauce, and spicy crispy chicken. I would definitely order all of these items again! I was super impressed by how well they handled the crowds tonight.

This is a nice sit-down restaurant that also does take-out. We unintentionally showed up 30 minutes before they closed for their lunch period, but we asked if it would be alright to dine in, and they said yes. I appreciated that so I tipped pretty well for them being accommodating. Service was very attentive and the food came out quickly, which I expected since we came before they were supposed to close. I got the pork lo mein plate with steamed white rice, as well as an egg roll. The egg roll was a little bland in my opinion, but the lo mein was AMAZING! The white rice tasted nice, too. The amount of food was enough for at least two meals, so I took home leftovers as well. They reheated quite well. The inside of the restaurant is absolutely beautiful with the decorations and red seats. I would definitely come back here!

Best Chinese food ever!
Visited today with a group of coworkers and the experience was the best.
Food was very fresh and flavourful from the rice cooked to perfection to the very fresh hot and sour soup was just the best.
I'm only visiting from Florida but I'll make sure that the next I'm Alabama I'll visit this amazing place.
