I live about an hour away from the Birmingham Alabama location and I could drive there every single day and get some food as it is some of the best food I've ever eaten! I don't know if anyone will read this but my only piece of advice would be to put one in Jacksonville Alabama near JSU. I think business would boom!!

The food was ok. Edible but that's not the main reason for my terrible experience. The guy taking to go orders... presumably "gus" treated both me and my coworker terribly. Don't go here if you want to be treated like a decent human being. I won't be back. Thanks for a terrible lunch break gus.

For the most part ordering and friendly service is great; but I ordered 2 piece dark with greens, mac and cheese, 1 extra leg, chess pie and medium lemonade. I got my 2 piece dark; but I got 2 servings of greens, no pie and a 1 size lemonade. :( Chicken thigh was a bit dry.

Loved everything about this place. Our sever was so helpful and friendly, the food was out of this world good, and it was a casual, welcoming vibe. Tried the chicken, fried pickles, and pie. Can’t wait to go back.

Food wasn't the issue at all gus's chicken is amazing. My wife and I came in around 330. We sat and ordered there were probably 6 customers in the restaurant. Our server was polite he wasn't the issue either. My wife and I waited an hour and 15 minutes for 3 tenders and two pieces of chicken. Our server came to us and said it would be about two minutes. I went to the counter and asked him if we could just have it to go. He said sure and turned to ask the cook she rolled her eyes and glared at me acting like we inconvenienced her so terribly. I watched this women spinning in circles completely lost for an hour. I watched her prepare to go orders that came in 20 mins after we did. This women's attitude towards her coworkers and customers is unacceptable. I've cooked chicken in several restaurants idk any fried chicken that takes 2 hours to cook.

I saw the guy was scratching his head and then touched the food with that dirty hand! Waste of money and time!
I ordered takeout, went to collect, questioned if everything was in bag, “yes”, got to car and checked, was missing a side of mac n cheese, went back in to no apology, then got home to find there was only 2pc chicken in my 3pc meal. It’s not that hard! It was not busy. Chicken was perfectly cooked tho!
I highly recommend this establishment. They are super nice and the chicken is absolutely delicious.

This was my first time coming here. I’m gonna go ahead and just say it even tho people won’t believe me. This was the BEST chicken I have ever put in my mouth. I can’t believe how good the food was. I already can’t wait to go back. If you like to eat then you NEED to go here.

I eat fried food once a month, and this is the only place I go or would recommend. Not crazy about the sides, but the chicken is always on point!
The food is great and we used to come for dinner frequently. BUT We will likely not come back again. Waited almost an hour and a half for food to come out with only a handful of other people in the restaurant. Ended up telling them to make it to-go. Service has gone downhill.
