This restaurant no-longer uses OpenTable but they did not turn off the service. We arrived for our 10am reservation on Easter Morning to an empty restaurant and an unfriendly hotel staffer indicating the restaurant was closed.
Clean, somewhat austere setting, tables well spaced with low noise level. Food was a little better than expected, service was friendly and eager to please. Our first two wine choices from a limited selection were not available!
Great service, good food but terrible ambiance. Seated to close to the entrance and the bar. Noisy and distracting, not what you want for a romantic night out.
Great place to go for a quiet dinner. Food was great, wine was great, service was great, ambience was great, and the rooftop bar was a bonus. We will definitely be back.
Made a reservation for 10:00 a.m on a Sunday. We get there, get seated, wait 5 mins. Turns out they closed the restaurant early and will no longer serve us. The inside was very pretty. But not worth wasting your time.
We began with a couple of cocktails at the bar before our reservation. We had the privilege of being thoroughly entertained by a truly personal and excellent bartender. The food and wine for dinner was absolutely delicious! We also were honored to meet the Head Chef, who is a lover of food and people - and that shows from his first glance to the good ole southern handshake/hug upon saying good night. Thank you Harvest for a fantastic experience.

Beautiful venue, great service with Bruce and wonderful food. The drinks from the bar were excellent! We enjoyed our window seat looking out to the streets of Birmingham.
Wonderful meal with great service in a restored 1920's hotel. Only regret was this area of town was empty on a Saturday night. The few souls out and about were here.
I held a dinner party for my husband's birthday there this past Saturday evening. Current had been enthusiastically recommended and it did not disappoint. A couple of us arrived a bit early for a cocktail before the rest of the party arrived. The hosts and the bartenders were friendly, punctual, attentive, and excellent. Our server and the rest of the staff during the dinner were all fantastic. The overall vibe of the restaurant was very inviting, not at all pretentious, and comparable to any 5-Star restaurant we've ever experienced - without any of the superfluous fancy bull. Haha. But it's true. This was a great experience from valet arrival to valet departure. Thank you, Current, for a truly great evening!
We just had dinner at the Harvent tonight, July 7, 2024. We had a very enjoyable experience! This was 2 couples. My husband had the braised short ribs. I had the salmon- well done. We gave each other a few samples and both meals were great! Our friends had salmon and a ribeye. They said both were great too. We had a good waitress (Emily) that was attentive and well informed. She made the meal relaxing and pleasant. I was a bit nervous after reading a few reviews online but we had zero complaints. I would highly recommend this restaurant. I mentioned the reviews to the waitress after our meal was done and we had complimented them. She said they had made changes to the chef and menu and were working hard to regain better ratings. We even had her send out the chef so we could complement him. So often people only post complaints. But they earned a 5 star rating from us tonight. If we lived in the area we would be back. We were here for a convention and live several states away. I recommend to give them a chance to wow you as well.

Veryyyyyyy slowwwwww! Several errors. This place needs major help. Customers were walking into the kitchen. Choose somewhere else to eat while you still can!!
This was my first visit I will definitely be back and bring my co workers I had their crispy shrimp basket. The cocktail sauce is the best I ever had

Ate here a few times while staying at the hotel. I liked the breakfast hash with short ribs. I liked the Redmont burger too. Pimento cheese dip was just okay.

What a wild ride. Not a soul was there on a Saturday afternoon at 5:30. Just our group. Waitress was very… “hyper.” (If you know what I mean.) Chef came out and admitted he basically didn’t like anything on the menu except the steak. I liked the honesty but gave me weird vibes that it must not be a great place to eat if everything was so terrible. Food was okay, but we only went here because everything else in the area closes at 4pm. Also, it was HOT - needed to put the AC on blast because of the huge windows. Way too expensive for such a weird experience: did not feel like a fancy dinner.

I was very disappointed with the over all dining experience. The waitress was friendly and I did not mind the wait because I understand it is supposed to be farm to table.
Here are my concerns: I paid $20 for 5 pieces of shrimp that were cold in the middle almost like they were frozen (which is not fresh) ontop of that half of the lettuce was wilted. When the waiter came to us to ask how everything was, I started to explain to her that I was disappointed and she nervously laughed and walked away. Onto the entrees; I got the filet mignon which was cooked correctly but there was no flavor, the pepper gravy was so overpowering it took away from the filet. The garlic mashed potatoes were the highlight of the dish and unfortunately I had a few garlic cloves that were so hard you could not cut them with a knife. My husband got the frenched chicken and he said it was cooked well and seasoned nicely. However the grits were bland.
It was a big let down I hope this restaurant can make some improvements with the next seasonal menu change.
