My wife and I eat at the Hooters Trussville location pretty much every Friday night. We went last night 3/20/2026 around 8:30 PM and while the restaurant was notably more busy than usual, we were met at the door by a woman I assume is a part of management that told us the kitchen was backed up and would not be taking any new orders for at least 45 minutes to an hour. She did not ask us if we were willing to wait. She didn’t offer not offer to seat us. She pretty much just stood there and waited for us to leave. Very disappointing.

Walked in at 11:04 and was told “we’re done taking food and drink orders for the night” they don’t close until 12am, this was a Friday night. Not sure what the point in being open until 12 is if you’re not going to service your customers. I could understand if it was 15 minutes before closing but they didn’t close for another 54 minutes!! Will not be back.

Went an hour before close and was told they weren’t serving anymore and have already closed the kitchen. Everything says they’re open till 12. what’s the point in saying open till 12 if you’re really not? Might as well put that you close at 11.

Done with this place! Ordered 3 different draft beers and they were out of all 3. I finally ordered a bottle beer since my 1st 3 choices weren't available. It took forever to get served at the bar. Was waiting to order food and another beer but the bartender was more interested in socializing and bouncing a basketball with other servers than waiting on patrons. When I complained about the service I was asked to leave. I immediately obliged. Bugs literally fly around the bar area because it's never cleaned properly. The outside dining area and parking lot is filthy. This has to be the worst managed bar in Birmingham. Not even close to any reasonable expectations! Apparently other folks feel the same way because the place is never crowded. I've read all the negative reviews and responses. You would think at some point the management would get tired of apologizing! I'm just done!

Very disappointed in the service here. My standards weren’t high to begin with but wow. Our server was responsive at first but disappeared soon after. I guess we could not compete with that boy in the white hat that had her attention. I’m not mad at her for tryna hop down on him but i would have appreciated a check in. She passed by the table many times without a word. I’ve worked in the service industry so i readily extend grace to servers on a busy night but in this case our server was just inattentive. Also, the manager seemed to be having a bad day when i spoke to him. Very cold demeanor. Hope he has a better shift.
