Rooms were dirty, the elevators broke not long after we arrived, forcing us to carry luggage and two kids up 8 flights of stairs. Parking was in an adjacent garage and also very inconvenient. The bar next door played loud music until about 3:30AM. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

This hotel is in the best location in Birmingham. In my opinion I have stayed here no less than 30 times probably even more I'm an IHG diamond member and lean towards indigo wherever I go. The location of this hotel has kept me coming back but the consistency of service and cleanliness has never been good This last time last night The room was clean, but the service was terrible. The bar was closed and it took over 30 minutes to get my car out of valet that cost me almost $40. This is the absolute last time I will ever stay here. There is a small hotel across the street that does not have the same problems.

What a terrible experience. We traveled in from out of town for a wedding expecting to arrive at a fully functioning hotel but instead were met with broken showers, broken beds, broken elevators, and inconvenient parking. The staff was overall very nice, but the hotel itself was terrible. Amongst the guests in town for the wedding, every single person had an issue with their room. Truly disappointed.Rooms: Rooms need to be fully cleaned and renovated. Most fixtures were rusted, and beds not sturdy. The room sizes were also very smallSafety: The doors are locked “for your safety” .Walkability: This hotel is in walking distance to a lot of food and activity options.Food & drinks: Overpriced and underwhelming

Would not recommended staying here this hotelis way to expensive to be as NASTY as it is… We booked for a wedding and they made the bed with BLOODY sheets house keeping NEVER came to change them its sooo many orher things I could say but I will never book here again! I will so the csr Chandelin was VERY sweet & helpful with all that she had to deal with ALONE that night she really deserves a raise.

Would NOT recommend this hotel. Where do we even begin? My girlfriend and I traveled 4 hours to arrive to a hotel that had cancelled our reservations a day after we had already confirmed. We booked through capital one who apparently never sent the payment over to the hotel. The management’s only response was a continuous “I understand” yet they wouldn’t put us in a room. After making US deal with capital one for an hour on the phone trying to figure out what the heck happened , they then told us it would take 3 hours for them to get the payment. Meanwhile we have a concert to attend in 2 hours. They wouldn’t let us in our room until they received payment, even though we showed our confirmation and payment. The best part is, they told us if we wanted a refund, we couldn’t rebook because there “system was closed for the day.” After a few words, we left and went to the homewood sweets across the street where we were provided with excellent care, and also had a clean and positive atmosphere unlike this ratchet hotel. Won’t EVER look into this place again.

This hotel was amazing. The staff was extremely helpful. The breakfast was amazing. Our room was perfect size for a getaway. We were located close to everything. We never had to use our car. Charlea and Nita made us feel at home. I highly recommend the cosmo to drink at the bar and the breakfast burrito for breakfast.Rooms: Room was big enough and shower was greatNearby activities: Daves bar was greatWalkability: We were close to everything. The black market was delicious

Rooms are not as pictured on site. Room was clean just small, no kind of small fridge or microwave in room, only provide 2 towels to start off. We bought the breakfast ticket for each morning and wasn’t told until the last morning that it only took a certain amount off of each meal (that’s not what it says on the back of the ticket). The breakfast was good however the service needs some help .. the lady just is not happy to be there and it definitely shows. We valet the car which was $35 a night, the only other parking available is parking areas outside of the hotel that are uncovered and not monitored and the best price I could find was $25 a night.. so that is an extra expense we wasn’t planning for. It is in an extremely convenient location but be prepared to hear the night life outside (this didn’t bother us), black market is a cozy bar right beside the hotel (I’m from the south and they have the best fried okra I’ve ever had!!), your less then a mile away from a ton of other great eatery options and within 2 miles of some fun brewery’s (some closer) .. about .5 miles was the best sandwich cafe!! (Garage Café) and outside of Ghost Train Brewery was a food truck called Uncle G’s Pizza that had the best pizza! All in all it was a good stay and I like the location a lot.. just wish things were a little more upfront.

Just FYI they WILL NOT book to Jefferson County residents. Booked online and did not find out until I was there to check in. Had to find somewhere else to stay quickly.

This hotel is a nope. keep moving. When we checked into our room (502), we had no hangers in the closet, there was no mini fridge, the door jam was unattached so we tripped on it coming in. When we pulled down the covers there was a hair in our bed - and not one from a scalp. There was a carbon monoxide detector velcro'd to the top of the dresser under the television - I am pretty sure that's not where that's supposed to be - is that even legal?!I had already called the desk for hangers, and called again requesting that our sheets be changed. The front desk clerk was kind and came upstairs. We spoke to her about the issues and she moved us to a different room. The new room (701) was a suite, however - The handheld shower head fell off, the water in the shower was SCALDING hot, the water at the mini bar didn't turn on, the bathroom door takes full body force to slide open - and the interior handle has a sharp edge, so using that much force to open and close it actually hurts?!There were only THREE towels in the bathroom - two bath, one hand. But...3 towels?! For 2 people?!The TV is not a smart TV - and the guide buttons on the remote didn't work, and although we paid for the VERY overpriced valet parking in the app as requested ($35/day?! that's wild), we waited 20 mins for the car before anyone even noticed we were waiting. This was maybe one of the cringiest hotel stays ever - it was so bad it was almost comical? The staff was nice enough, but this hotel is honestly just awful. However - the shower caps were A+. so. there's that.Rooms: In disrepair and poorly designed.

Very exquisite hotel room we had. From check in to check out and everything in between was a pleasure. I do extensive travel for work and stay in several hotels. The staff here was about the friendliest I have encountered. Very pleasant people. The location is great and the scenery from the seventh floor was spectacular. If your staying in 5 points south area I highly recommend this hotel.
