We stayed at the Valley Hotel and didn't eat here but we grabbed some cocktails which were delish. The bar staff was prompt and efficient. And they have comfy chairs inside to sit and enjoy while we sipped.

i was on a roadtrip when i stopped by here for a drink and a lil food at the bar late on a monday evening. I've never been to Alabama before. the bartender was kind and friendly in a way that I assume is southern. On the west coast my northeastern sensibilities make me feel aggressive and superior. fuck those californians with their fake niceness and dumb tans, i don't like it. but the southern kindness, when it hits, is sort of just off putting. i don't know how to be friendly like that. Sorry to my bartender if I failed to meet the moment socially, I don't even remember your name, another testament to my cold winter nature. Anyway the tartare was great and i liked the broccolini too. i guess it's kinda expensive but it's pretty much what i was expecting.

We pivoted to here on a recent Friday night after seeing that our original choice was too crowded and are mostly glad we did. The space is lovely so that was nice. Food was decent (if pricey) and service was fairly attentive. My husband got a steak and I got red snapper, both were fine. In fact, "fine" is pretty much the defining word for me here - it's not someplace I would make a huge effort to return when next in town, but you could definitely do worse?!

The service was excellent and the atmosphere was nice. The food looked nice plated up but really failed to wow with a price Tag of 200 for two people.I ordered the steak medium rare and got the steak well done. It was pretty dry and lifeless. The potatoes were nicely cooked with plenty of garlic. The steak was pretty disappointing. I told my waitress and she offered to take it back but then I would have had to eat after my date so it didn't seem worth it.The surf and turff was ..."ok" the scallops were good although a bit over salted (personal preference I guess) but the snapper was bland and such a small portion.Worst part about it was we were still hungry after we left.

Nice upscale restaurant. Great food, drinks and appetizers. Our waiter was Fantastic. The only flaw was the steak, it wasn’t hot & fresh. When it came out it was warm like it had been sitting out for a while.

The food was delicious. My party ordered the Beignets, Bacon Hanger, Steak & Eggs, and Birmingham Benedict. Beignets - thru we're more like powdered donuts, but still tasty. I enjoyed them w/the peach conserve. Bacon Hanger - this is a dinner item that they gladly made for us for brunch. Sweet & smoky flavors...it was a hit! Steak & Eggs - ordered it medium & it was cooked well & had good flavor without the steak sauce. Birmingham Benedict- DELICIOUS! It was the absolute star for me! Traditional southern flavors, the greens were cooked down & soft, making a perfect bed for the grit cake. The combination of the runny egg & hollandaise was the perfect complement, along with the smoked bacon. I loved it! And my leftovers were even better! Service - good, but a little slow. Our server was very nice & accommodating, but she disappeared on us a few times. We sat for a while without our water glasses being refilled & she did not check on us frequently. It was not very busy in the restaurant so we were unsure of the reason for her absent. But all in all, I had a great experience & would definitely go back for that Birmingham Benedict!

Yes, this is the place! Excellent food, good choices with limited menu. Service was adequate. Second time we have dined here and it was still 4+. Definitely another return is planned!

I went for dinner with my associates from work. We all enjoyed everything. The server was knowledgeable and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was amazing. I can't want to return and get the pork chop and collard greens again. :-) The drinks and appetizers were delicious also. Everyone enjoyed their meals and drinks.

8:30 reservation. The kitchen was out of the first two things we ordered. Not the server's fault. However, the server had very few tables and was not at all attentive. Second drinks took far too long. No water refills. No check ins. Food was just ok.

While this location and atmosphere is superb. Unfortunately, that would be it. Our family ordered brunch after waiting for 35 minutes with empty tables. Server was so kind and polite, but the kitchen must have been way understaffed. Our food was all cold and just not worth the $135.00. With more places popping up in this area, we will venture out and not return here again.

Came here for brunch, I really like their avocado toast, and eggs benedict. The waffle & chicken was tasty - the chicken is made inside the waffle which makes the dish soo mucb easier to eat- surprised no other place offers chicken & waffle like this!
