First time in Burrmingham, AL. Uber driver recommended this place. Exceptional food and amazing and friendly staff. Our server Church, was so helpful explaining the menu. Honestly, get the platter, it’s the only way to go. Service was quick and the food was warm and delicious. You won’t leave hungry as the portions are insane. The highlight was their cornbread cheese muffins! The food felt homemade something that’s challenging to recreate.

Jim ‘N Nick’s Loaded Bar-B-Q Baker is absolutely incredible! I ordered the baker with smoked turkey, and it was perfection from start to finish. The baked potato was huge, soft, and fluffy on the inside with a perfectly crisp skin. It came loaded with generous portions of smoked turkey, crispy bacon, melted cheddar cheese, fresh scallions, creamy butter, sour cream, and a drizzle of their signature barbecue sauce every bite was bursting with flavor. The smoked turkey was tender and juicy, with that perfect smoky taste that Jim ‘N Nick’s is known for. It’s comfort food done right and definitely fills you up. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the restaurant had a warm, inviting atmosphere. If you’re craving a hearty meal that hits all the right notes, this dish is a must-try. Five stars without a doubt I’ll be back for another one soon!

Being from out of town looking for lunch we pulled over and was considering this place. It was an older couple walking inside we asked if they know how the food was.Their reply was its very good come inside and give it a try so we did. From the door greeter to the waiter, server, bartender, manager and entire team of staff, we experience amazing customer service. As a team they would constantly check on your table to see if anything is needed. Soon the place was packed to capacity during lunch time. You can see it was unexpected because everyone was on the move back and forth even the manager was working hard. However it didn't delay our food coming out. Being 1st time we tried it all, Ribs, Brisket, Turkey, pulled pork, greens, baked beans, potato salad and of course the cheese biscuit for the table. Everything we tried was delicious, the mango habanero barbecue sauce was a hit. We had plenty of food left over. The manager came over to see how everything was, gave us more barbecue sauce to go with leftovers. So with excellent customer service and delicious food we are looking forward to returning to Birmingham not just for basketball but definitely our go to place to eat soon as we arrive. Sorry I don't recall the managers name to give direct kudos to them, just know y'all are a great team of workers.

I just rediscovered Jim and Nick’s. I haven’t had it in a very long time, but it was catered at a function I went to. The food I ordered on my own was great. The potato was amazing filled with all types of meat, that I ordered it two days in a row. Sadly, the second day was a little less than the first, but I will be eating again.

The food was excellent! The ribs were tender and plentiful and the sides were great. We also purchased the catfish. We highly recommend this restaurant!
Waited to be seated for about 10 minutes even though it was empty. We had to wait for silverware after we got our food. I had the chicken strips, which were good. The onion rings are good and the cheese biscuits are good . Husband had the brisket, by looking at it you could tell it was dry. Said the potato salad was good. Service here is not good. Husband tried to use the bathroom but you have to have a code to use it . 3 employees walked passed him without even acknowledging he was standing there. Not worth the headache.

Horrible horrible service I ordered the loaded Mac and cheese for my meal and I received a small small cup of Mac and cheese. I tried to call the restaurant to make them aware of what happened and I kept being put on voicemail and then somebody would pick up and immediately back to voicemail. I was finally able to get through after calling 4 times and told the guy what happened and his first excuse was that it's the 4th of July which I understand but that also means to tripe check people's meals especially when they are ordered from a third party and can't get the issue fixed right away. The first time I've had a bad experience at this restaurant definitely won't be ordering from this location again.
