Waiter was openly hostile, disrespectful, condescending and degrading as he openly mocked me to the point of breaking words into syllables he would sounded out to me as I was was a child while glaring at me with disgust. I stood up said : I want none of this I am leaving. My husband said : yes, go now I will meet you at the car. He was given the bill, signed it, left zero tip and included a note about the rudeness. We will never go back nor will we spend any time wondering “why” he was so hateful. It is not my responsibility to account for the pathology of a toxic person. It is my responsibility to reject it, remove myself from it and walk on. Period.

Best sushi in Bham. A friend recommend this to me and it lived up to the hype. The meat on a rock appetizer is great. The rolls are good and fresh no issues with the drinks as well. We had a great server, helped us order what we all liked. Solid place.

I’m in jinsei right now, fresh off one of the best food experiences I’ve had this year. Kevin was a helpful and attentive server, and the sushi was TOP NOTCH. Just play eeny-meeny-miney-moe with the Nigiri menu and you’ll have a great time.

Ordered edamame and 4 rolls. Red spider, Jinsei special, Bubblegum and Lobster. All were very avg at best. Have been ordering for years from Jinsei. Disappointed in today’s meal. Avg and lacked flavor.

To put it simply: the "best" food here is just okay and others are straight up inedible. We ordered poke and a roll which were just fine, not even particularly good. Then we ordered 2 pieces of otoro (the best cut of tuna) which were 10 dollars each(!!!) It come out with multiple tiny shaven pieces on top; it looked like raw chicken and smelled bad, nothing you want in fish. It made me nauseous looking at it. The waiter took it back and offered a different one. We were done and the new pieces still did not meet expectations. Along with the waiter being snarky to our polite rejection of the bad otoro, I was very disappointed. Will not be returning, please find yourself a different sushi place, anywhere will be better and more worth the price.
We stopped in for a quick beer and edamame. Aaron was our bartender and Jinsei should be thankful for his employment.

Jinsei Sushi very good place! Grilled edamame is so tasty, like smoky and salty, perfect! Sushi fresh and delicious, many different kinds. Staff friendly, service fast. Atmosphere nice and clean. I come back again for sure!

We had a really nice brunch there. The food quality was really good. The sushi was tasty. Exceptional breakfast courses. The drinks were exceptional. Our server Marco was super attentive and friendly. We will definitely come back, and highly recommend this place.

We absolutely love Jinsei! But most of all we love their customer service! Tonight our DoorDash driver likely took one of our dishes. We called Jinsei and they didn’t point blame but made another dish and personally delivered it to our door. They were apologetic and kind about the situation and made us feel well taken care of in a situation that was less than ideal. Thanks Diego, you are the man!! You went above and beyond and we appreciate that as it’s rare these days.
