Went to this restaurant on a Saturday the place was pretty busy but we were able to order and then sit at our table. The staff was very friendly and the service was great.we both ordered a k-dog which were excellent đŸ‘ŒđŸŸ and not normal menu items so we got lucky to catch them serving them today. The joyland burger deluxe was great as well, the patty was seasoned very well and had good flavor! I definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone if you like burgers! We will definitely be back!!!

Just a solid smash burger. What more could you want? And they have curly fries.

One of the best new burger spots in Birmingham!

Joyland in Birmingham is the kind of place you don’t just stumble upon—you hear about it, try it, and then can’t stop thinking about it. The vibe is playful and retro, but the food is all business—in the best way. I had the smash burger and it was perfectly crispy on the edges, juicy in the middle, and packed with flavor. The fries were hot, salty, and just right.

And don’t skip the waffle hashbrowns—seriously. They’re crispy, golden, and absolutely addictive. One of the most creative (and tasty) sides I’ve had in a while.

You can tell the team behind this place knows what they’re doing (Sean Brock doesn’t miss). Everything feels intentional, from the design to the service. It’s casual and fast, but still feels elevated.

Highly recommend grabbing a seat outside if the weather’s nice. Perfect spot for a quick lunch or a laid-back dinner that hits the spot. Birmingham needed a place like this—fun, fast, and seriously delicious.

Excellent burgers, much more prep and thought invested in them than in your run-of-the-mill hamburger. Yeah, I’m sure you have a crazy fun uncle who takes pride in making good burgers on July 4th weekend, but imagine if he were actually a professionally trained chef who knew the science behind burger making.

That’s what these Joyland burgers taste like. 👍

3rd visit (July 2025)... all I can say is I wish I lived closer to this restaurant. Ordered a Joy Burger Deluxe with Fancy Sauce, curly fries, peach pie, and sweet tea. Customer service (Deliesha) 10/10. Great atmosphere and excellent burger! Soft serve ice cream is great as well!

First time visit....What a fantastic little burger place. First time visit. A buddy and I met there for lunch on a Tuesday. Not very busy when we walked in but business picked up soon after. I wasn't sure what to order, and told the female cashier I had never been there. She was very friendly and offered several suggestions. I went with a double burger, with sauce on the side, not knowing if I'd like it. The burger, fries and sweet tea were all great. Definitely will return soon.

I was excited to try their burgers but I arrived too early for lunch. Instead I went with a bacon egg and cheese biscuit. The biscuit itself was great. There was a giant cube of an egg and some decent bacon. There was no one in line so I was thinking things would go quickly. Unfortunately, I waited a good 5-7 minutes for a COLD meal. They had a tasty unique jelly. I didnt ask the flavor but I didn't mind it. The biscuit was over $8.00 with tax. I imagine it would have been better at a warmer temp but given the wait and the fact that it was cold....and thr concealed egg square I just can't see myself rating them any higher.

I'm allergic to gluten/wheat, and this is the first time I've gotten to eat a fried chicken sandwich in a decade. Absolutely thrilled to have a spot like this in town.

Takeout order, but tried the fries as I walked out the door. Crinkle French fries were only lukewarm, and hard as though under a heatlamp for about 20 minutes. Not crisp, just dry and hard. Small smashburger, think they called it crispburger, was also tasteless, also not hot, and as dry and flat as 3 day old summer roadkill. Flat yes, but should not be so dry. Counter service was great, but the wait was too long as it was well past peak lunch time. First try, may give them a second try. Everyone has off days. Shakes looked good.

First time trying Joyland. Fantastic cheeseburger! My wife and son agreed as well. I highly recommend Joyland. Any time I’m in town, I’ll make sure to stop in. Only reason I wouldn’t give the fifth star is because it was rather hot inside because of all the windows.

Excellent customer service and food. I’m so glad to have them in Birmingham!

The crust burger and the joy sticks are our favorite. The hot honey is magical, and make sure you get a milkshake!

I’ve eaten here multiple times, but today I had a different type of experience. The power grid caused the restaurant to be partially out of power. They could still make burgers, and their water machine was working but that was it. My wife and I ordered two Joyland Deluxe burgers that had amazing flavor. The manager and staff told us it was on the house. It’s hard to come by a down home experience like this often, but Joyland definitely sets the bar for customer service!
