They stiff their employees on paychecks and also steal any and all card tips from their hard working employees who can barely make ends meet due to their unethical business practices. Don’t support businesses who treat their employees like garbage.

I'm a doordash driver and 9 times out of 10 the orders here are either wrong or they're out of half of what the customer ordered. I've also had bad experiences with the food in general as a customer they need to stop reopening because they just aren't good.

Doesn’t treat their employees with respect they deserve. Doesn’t pay their employees fair wages and refuses to pay the employees what they rightfully earned. Do not support this business.

After over a decade in the food industry under my belt and being all too familiar with how a truly moral and successful restaurant is run, I refuse to support an establishment that does their employees so dirty when it comes to handling tips and paychecks upon leaving. Too many former servers have been scammed out of their hard earned money simply so the greedy owner can profit off their labor while not fufilling their contracted pay. Not to mention, keeping credit card tips from servers and not disclosing that to your patrons may be legal in this case based off their salary, but it is SHADY business practice. For a business owner that claims Christian values, this is especially shameful. I have to drive by this buisness daily, but I'll happily spend my hard earned money elsewhere. Looking forward to seeing a permanent "closed" sign hanging across the windows in the future.

posted by friend: I was going to take legal action but it's not worth it in what I would pay for a lawyer. So I'll let social media do it's thing. Last Wednesday, I was told I would not be receiving my last pay check from Kemps Kitchen/Golden Rule because I "owed them hours". Thursday, I was ignored while expressing how they were taking money that could be spent on two weeks worth of groceries. Friday, I thought maybe I had got through to them. I went in to get my check but decided to check it before I departed. I was paid salary while working there which averaged out to $19/hr but when I opened my check, they took away 4 hours and marked my pay down to minimum wage. I'm not the first this has happen to but I hope to be the last. Just to put it into perspective, gross pay should have been $326.13...in return, I was paid $57.19. Not to mention, they refused to give me my cash tips (they don't give people their card tips). When i noticed my check was wrong, the owner wouldn't come out of the office to talk to me. Instead, he called the cops to make me leave. It's very disheartening but I hope to save someone the pain of this.

A great place to eat!Kemp’s kitchen is also a Golden Rule BBQ so you can have many options for the entire family.I had a BBQ sandwich with fried okra and onion rings. The meat had nice bark and smoky flavor and I have always enjoyed the sauce. The onion rings and okra were both fresh fried after I ordered and very good.My wife had a Swiss burger and fries and she said it also was very good. The two young ladies were super nice and attentive.Make this a destination for the family, everyone will be full!Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair ramp available

Today was my first time ordering from this restaurant. I went and picked it up on my lunch break quickly. When I got back to work, my chicken fried chicken was without gravy. I selected white gravy, as it was an option on the website, but was told that they do not have this kind of gravy after a certain time. When I let them know that when I got to the restaurant, nobody informed me of this or I would have gotten the regular brown gravy. There was no offer to make this right. The chicken itself was decent, as well as the okra, but the baked beans were some overcooked slop that had more bacon in it than beans. Would not recommend.

Excellent breakfast meal. Huge, homemade biscuits, grilled hashbrowns, and fried, boneless chicken breast. I definitely plan on going back again!

WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. I was told they didn't have what we ordered, so on the spot on the phone with the Dasher, I politely accepted this and had to quickly decide on a whole different meal and sides for both of us, which I did with no problems. My Dasher will confirm this when I speak to upper management about this incident. An hour later when it got here, almost everything was wrong. Also, no salad dressing, sauces, or even the gravy for the country fried steaks I had to change it to OR the cobblers I paid for were given to us at all. When I called, the immature "manager" I tried to explain all of this to snapped at me and said "If you're just going to complain we will end this right now" right before he hung up on me, which he did like an angry man-child 3 times when I tried to discuss what all was wrong and what I should do. HUNG UP ON ME. Don't give this place and if your money until the psychotic manager is fired, or you will probably be his next customer treated like garbage.

Came by on memorial day. Ordered 2 loaded bake potatoes minus chives and a #2 burger combo. Did not receive the Pepsi on the combo. Had chives on the potatoes. No plastic ware or napkins for the potatoes. Your window cashier, needs training.

Ordered a pull pork loaded potato. The dried brown stuff that you see is supposed to be pulled pork. Almost jerky like. One bite and I was over it. A total waste of $13. To the trash can this goes.

Spent 30 minutes in the drive-through. And that was the best part of the experience. I would not have served this meal to a dog. Chicken sandwich was burnt on the outside and cold on the inside and the fries tasted like they had been cooked in old oil, really, really old oil. I ate one bite of the chicken sandwich and two fries and I was done. The rest went in the trashcan. I will never try this restaurant again and if I could give you zero stars I would have.
