This is the best Italian restaurant in the Sate of Alabama.
The food is always fresh and handmade. The service is top notch - friendly, informed, and professional.
The owner is there all the time and takes great care of the business. The owner goes above and beyond with personally training the staff in all positions. Although my observations have been limited, the owner is respectful, empathetic, and graceful with the employees.
The incorporation of local ingredients is superb, the wine - delicious.
If you visit the region, it is worth a reservation in advance. It is also worth the money!

2025 UPDATE: it’s been a while since we came back to Lé Fresca. I think their food is even better now! We had an impromptu brunch and the calamari was the best.
Pasta is AMAZING. best pasta in town, but I hate a lot of their stuff is seasonal. Place is busy and quite loud, but it definitely worth of the food!!

We love this place! Our favorite spot to have date night and celebrate special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries. Crystal is so kind & a wonderful waitress. Everyone is always very attentive and helpful and gives wonderful recommendations. Our favorites are the cappenelle with mushrooms, burrata (with peaches!!!), catch of the day is always fantastic, and the bread pudding!!!! Omgsh best bread pudding in bham or ever!!

This place is delicious! They take reservations but may be out day of on the weekend- plenty of bar seating! We came in around 8 and didn't have to wait for the bar!

We had lunch before the Musical of Chicago and the food was outstanding!! It is a small restaurant in downtown with a specialty menu with wonderful flavors to die for! We got 3 plates and shared between us! Also the wine was outstanding! This should be on all to visit!

We are from Atlanta and own a business in Birmingham and are so excited to visit Le Fresca every time in town! However we have a few suggestions we are big wine drinkers and the fact you need to get a good wine glass you need to order a certain wine is crazy. If the employees are braking the glasses hire a new dishwasher. Also adding on a credit card fee at a meal for two that is $200 is crazy build it into the price and will be better perceived! Great food and service at the bar but sometimes the little things and hopefully open for suggestions. Mike and Strickland
