Visiting La Conchita in Hoover instantly brought me back to my trip to Mexico. From the moment I walked in, I felt that familiar sense of warmth and authenticity. The biggest highlight for me was their incredible variety of ice creams — so many unique flavors that reminded me of the ones I enjoyed during my travels. It was such a treat to find that same taste here at home.
Beyond the ice cream, they also have a wide selection of pastries and baked goods that looked just as inviting as they tasted. Everything felt fresh, authentic, and made with care. The staff was another standout — overly friendly, welcoming, and eager to help us as we browsed through all the options. Their patience and enthusiasm really added to the experience.
If you’re looking for a little slice of Mexico in Hoover, La Conchita is definitely worth the visit. It’s a place where you can satisfy your sweet tooth and enjoy some genuine hospitality at the same time.

I ordered my wedding cake in this place. Before I never had an issue, the bread is excellent and the people are usually nice. But for my wedding I dealt with a lady (not the regular polite girl behind the counter) that changed the initial price accorded, and the cake was supposed to arrive at 3:30 and ended up arriving at around 5. It didn't include boxes for after party take away and they didn't tell me the supports were supposed to be returned until the next day. Luckily we saved them.
I'm giving 3 stars because despite the inconvenients, the cake was delicious and everything I wanted. However as it was a very hot weather that day, the tres leches started to melt and we had to cut it as soon as we saw it.

I tried a few cakes at La Conchita - coffee, pineapple, peach - and honestly, every single one was amazing. Super fresh, rich flavor, and just so good. If you love cake, this place won’t disappoint

I had a bad experience when I ordered a mil-leaf cake, when I mentioned that it was a mil-leaf and that I needed it for the next day they told me that it needed to be made two days in advance, so I thought about ordering another type of bread but They called the baker and agreed that they were going to make it for me and I was super happy, I thought that because I had already bought there before they would do me the favor, but the day I cut my cake it took me a lot of work to cut the slices and I thought it was me but they I asked my brother for help and it was even difficult for him, the thousand leaves were hard and carved, like they were a thousand old leaves so I was disappointed not only for myself but also because I gave my guests something that was of no use, the point is If they are not going to make something that was recently done, they better not take the order ??

I went to buy a cake, for the first time I went to that store, they told me that the price was $37 dlls and an amount of $50 was added to my card. I had a bad experience since not only once did I get a hair on my face. the cake but several times I don't know if more hair would come out because we cut the cake in half
Very good flavor and everything
But I was disappointed with what I got (hair)
Everything is very good, cheap, clean and friendly to customers ?

A little piece of México in hoover, it's always hard to make a decision on what to get. There's so much to choose from. Mexican pastry, cakes, candies, Mexican style ice cream and street corn, potato chips, etc.

Really cheap baked goods and so many candy and snack options. You don't really need to talk to get your food for the customers who dont speak Spanish but use Googletranslatefor good measure. You can pick out the baked goods you want by yourself with the platter and tongs that are at the front then you pay at the counter in the back.
