I had purchased a tres leches cake from somewhere else for my son's birthday and it was terrible. Googled tres leches and La Conchita came up. The strawberry tres leches cake was delicious.

Visiting La Conchita in Hoover instantly brought me back to my trip to Mexico. From the moment I walked in, I felt that familiar sense of warmth and authenticity. The biggest highlight for me was their incredible variety of ice creams — so many unique flavors that reminded me of the ones I enjoyed during my travels. I ordered my wedding cake in this place. Before I never had an issue, the bread is excellent and the people are usually nice. But for my wedding I dealt with a lady (not the regular polite girl behind the counter) that changed the initial price accorded, and the cake was supposed to arrive at 3:30 and ended up arriving at around 5. It didn't include boxes for after party take away and they didn't tell me the supports were supposed to be returned until the next day. Luckily...
