I think this is a lovely bake shop with lots of heart and soul poured into it. However, I do think the quality of bakes has gone down a little over the last year. I visited on a Sat at 9am and was able to get the bakes I wanted, since they sell out quickly. Took about 20-25 minutes waiting in the line. As others mentioned no drinks or place to sit, but you know that going into it! The chocolate croissant was too dark on the outside and not done enough on the inside. The morning bun was completely flat (and I saw that in the case but got it anyways because I love it) and also underdone. I had to look at pictures from last time I was there to make sure the morning bun wasn’t flat. It was not the quality I remember when I visited about a year ago to meet a friend. So sad. For about $6 per bake you just expect more.

The entire experience was great! All the way from the lady taking the order to the last bite of the berry danish! If you’re in Bham this is a must stop! Also, the lemon bar looked delicious, which I’m saving for next visit! 😋

This place is amazing! The morning bun is most likely the best breakfast pastry I have ever had. The cappuccino next door is fantastic too!

Heard lots of great things about last call and they’re all true! Arrived at around 9:00 on a Thursday and waited in line for a short while (5-10 minutes max) and man, it was worth it! Super cute but quaint interior lobby area, all of the options are laid out in front of you. We ordered: Chocolate croissant and a Morning bun. The croissant was flaky and the chocolate was rich. The morning bun was phenomenal, a plump and flaky pastry with cinnamon sugar coating the top. We’re excited to return!

Exquisite baked goods served by wonderful staff. Get there early or order ahead, because they take a sustainable approach to their preparation and creation - when it’s gone, it’s gone and that’s it for the day.

We tried the breakfast cookie, ham and cheese croissant, Korean spiced twist and the lemon twist. All absolutely delicious, so whether you want sweet or savoury, this place has something tasty for you.

Last Call also supply coffee shops across Birmingham, so you may have already enjoyed their goods without even knowing.

Recommended and a firm favourite.

Most of their pastries are burnt. I don't mean dark golden. I mean burnt. The almond croissant didn't have much filling. It also didn't have much almond flavor. Even though it was burnt it was decent. Probably would be fantastic if it wasn't burnt.

Side note: I was here about an hour after opening and they were already sold out of many items. Just a heads up.

Unfortunately, I’ve never had a pastry that wasn’t overcooked. This morning my kouign-amann was so burnt it was inedible.

Today was my first visit — and definitely not my last. I’m still dreaming about that gochujang twist and the ham & cheese croissant… but honestly, everything I tried was incredible. Pro tip: get there early! They opened at 8, and by 8:10 the line was already long. We waited about an hour, but it was absolutely worth every minute.

not enough vegan options and I can't keep up with when they have them or not. It's a very awkward feeling when you wait in line just to be told there's nothing you can eat in front of your friends. Oh well.
