I alone with one of my friends was so excited to finally go to Lloyd’s before it closed. When we got there the restaurant was very crowded and we had to wait at least 20 to 25 minutes before we s seated. ( no problem) . When our number was finally called, we were seated and given menus. As time went by, we observed people from other tables that were seated after us were drinking water or sodas and some were even eating their salad. I was so infuriated by the situation I told my friend I had to leave. I also noticed that I was the only person of color in the restaurant not saying any more about that I just seemed suspicious that we were the only table not being served. It’s a shame that in 2023 this kind of racism still exists. Maybe you need to close.

I went last night with a friend to Lloyd's. The squash was the best ever, as usual. We shared a hamburger steak, and it was good. The other veggies were good, but I was a little disappointed with the green beans. My baked potato was excellently cooked. This restaurant has lots of memories for me, from driving an hour to get there during college, to eating there with my in-laws and extended family. Sadly, it's closing October 15. I'll definitely miss it.

Lloyd's is a long known area legend for great food, great service, and a must stop place to eat. For the last 30 years I've eaten there, it never disappoints. Huge YAY to Lloyd's.

Had my mother's 74th birthday here and it was a lovely experience. The waitress was super attentive and kind. I had the fried chicken liver plate and it was excellent. 5 star experience all around. Check them out if your looking for good country cooking!

I ordered the chicken sandwich. It was legit the biggest one I've ever seen. I had to use a knife and fork on it. Very tasty. Very good sweet tea too.

If either of my grandmothers were from the South, this is the food they would make. Sadly, both were Yankees, and both died many years ago, so this is the closest thing to "Southern Grandma Comfort Food" that I can get.I had the Hamburger steak, the fried chicken, onion rings, turnip greens, and fried green tomatoes. It was simply divine. And the service was just as good. This place is not fancy, but if you want to experience proper home-cooked Southern comfort food, point your car towards Lloyd's.This place is the bomb. Highly, highly recommended!

Good place to eat with plenty of meat and vegetable choices. Food prices are higher than other similar places, especially for desserts. Beverage prices are a little higher too. Fries are not part of the side item choices but can be ordered separately, which is unusual.

They have ruined my favorite onion rings. They are tasteless and have too much coating. They also leave a terrible taste in your mouth. Bring back the others. We had a party of 11 and they all said the same. Even the flavorable barbeque sauce was not the same. The prices are too high. We always had a good price for a quality meal. I have been a customer since 1972. Very disappointing.

Tasteless. Liver was cold and tasteless. Okra cold. Onion rings taste like batter with no flavor. Fried green tomatoes were a sponge for grease and the were tasteless. The batter they use on everything left a horrible film in my mouth that only brushing my teeth could help. Never again.

The server was nice. She is the only reason I would return. She was friendly and made sure we had what we needed. The food was very bland. Cooked well but tasted like flour. Our family of 3 went at 6pm on a Thursday night and they were not very busy but food took about an hour to get to us. Did not meet my expectations for Lloyd's.

Service good. Food poor. The Hamburger steak was poor. In the past had been great. The meat was grainy!!!!!

Usually I dine inbut today I ordered take out. I have never been disappointed with any meal I have eaten from Lloyd’s. The employees, their service and the food simply the best. Takes me back to my younger days and home cooked meals.Vegetarian options: Always the best.Parking: Plenty of parking spaces.

Would give ZERO stars if that was an option. There were no redeeming attributes about the service at this place. We dined with a party of 9, but 3 people only ordered a small appetizer. The waitress (Lisa) was slow in taking our order, (>15 min) then about halfway thru taking our orders she walked away for 5-10 min before finally coming back to finish taking our orders. After about 15-20 min, we received three of the orders, >5 min later we received 2 more of the orders and the appetizers…as she was delivering the plates, she mentioned they were out of the baked potatoes we ordered…would have thought this would have been mentioned earlier, like when they went to start cooking our order. Another 10-15 minutes went by (those in my party were halfway thru eating their meal) and I finally received a portion of my order. I had ordered the rib plate with sides and 4 JUMBO GRILLED shrimp. What I received was 4 SMALL FRIED shrimp, NO ribs and NO sides. As the waitress sat the plate of 4 lone shrimp in front of me, she mentions that they ran out of ribs. I had initially thought it was a joke…and was waiting for the punch line. The crass way in which this information and meal was presented was the epitome of incompetent service and bordered on insulting. Our waitress had at least four earlier opportunities to tell me they were out of ribs that would have allowed sufficient time for me to reorder another meal. First, when she took our order…second, when she delivered our order to the kitchen…third, when she brought out the first set of orders….fourth, when she brought out the second set of orders. This is a glaring example of true inattentiveness, bordering on incompetence. I am still baffled at what took so long to realize this…it’s not like she had to wait for the ribs to be cooked and it certainly doesn’t take that long to cook 4 small shrimp. Then when the bill came, she mentions that there is an automatic gratuity for large parties….this was not mentioned before we ordered and there were only 6 main dishes ordered with 2 appetizers. So, the final bill, $189.58 for 6 plates of food!!! Way overpriced!!At this time the waitress apologizes for not having ribs and that it wasn’t her fault…yes ma’am, I’m sad to say, the poor service IS your fault! Had she been more attentive to her job, she would have known MUCH earlier that they were out of certain food items and would have given her paying customers sufficient time to place a substitute order and receive it in time to actually eat WITH their group. Running out of food is understandable…taking that long to realize it and inform your customers is UNACCEPTABLE!As far as the food quality, my wife’s MEDIUM steak was delivered BLUE and my daughter’s MEDIUM WELL steak was delivered VERY MEDIUM.I will not be dining at this Lloyds again and DO NOT recommend this restaurant.

Gave 2 stars before food arrived because our waitress has no knowledge of the menu and her demeanor is like we are bothering her because my wife ordered the Greek chicken and it says it comes with Greek potatoes and house salad but there is a $.50 upcharge for the salad. But it doesn't say that on the menu the waitress said it was a $1 upcharge and that they came down alot even with the price of lettuce now. They just open 3 days ago Makes no sense to me when it says served with potatoes and salad. Extra $.50 for that well ok
