Can't say enough great things about Magic City Grill. It's located right next to my office so I visit at least once every time I'm in town. I typically get the porkchop with turnips and mac n cheese, let me just say it is 10/10 every time. The porkchop is fried to perfection and seasoned to incredible flavor. I am still full and hungry 8 hours later. Every mortal on my play was delicious! The atmosphere wonderful, our waitress superb and funny. She was warm and inviting. We sat in the first booth and looked out the window and watched TV. I had the hot bar- roast beef with ice potato's and carrots, mashed potatoes and cabbage, roll and half tea half lemonade. Peach cobbler for desert. My son had breakfast: scrambled eggs with cheese, grits, bacon and 3 pancakes!. He ate it all!...
I went to the Magic City Grill a couple of times while in Birmingham on business, the first time the food was amazing; it wasn't as good the second time that I went but it was okay, the wait staff are very polite and courteous. If you like soul food like I do I think you'll enjoy this place.
