Called in an order for two separate entrees. They put it all on one plate. Shrimp fried rice and beef lo mein. ON ONE PLATE. Inedible for one bc of shellfish allergy. $20 wasted along with no 2nd egg roll for both of the entrees. WHO IS EATING TWO ENTREES AT ONCE? Haven’t been this mad in a while. Make sure to specify if getting multiple orders for your family. Shoulda went to MINGS in Gardendale.

The crab ragoon was over cooked. The season they used for the beer and broccoli was terrible. Wouldn't recommend.

The food was excellent! Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. This is the only Chinese restaurant that truly understands what “extra shrimp” means when you order—they gave us a generous amount!

The black pepper shrimp wasn’t exactly what I expected, as it had a slight sweetness to it, but it was still very tasty. The same goes for the lemon pepper chicken—it was different from what I anticipated but still really good.

Overall, a great experience with delicious food, and I will definitely be ordering again!

Placed a take out order over the phone today and went to go pick it up. I had calculated how much it was going to cost by looking at their website. When I went to pay, I was off by $15. I was looking at their old website powered through Wix and it is not up to date. I didn’t have enough to pay for the full meal because it wasn’t the price that I was expecting but the guy who helped me was very sweet and considerate and he discounted me. I really appreciate that act of kindness especially over the holidays. Definitely recommend! Food is great! Customer service is great! Everything was done in a timely manner. This made my day. I don’t post many reviews but I definitely wanted to share this experience.

I was disappointed with the taste of my food. I ordered the Mongolian Beef which wasn't good. I couldn't taste the flavor, it was kind of bland. The hot and sour soup is nothing like what I've ordered at other restaurants. Again, the taste wasn't there. I ordered it because it was a cold night thinking it would warm me up. It was more bitter tasting than sour and no spice (hot), I didn't eat it. I also ordered the House Fried Rice. It was the best thing they had going. It was tasty and filling. I feel as though I wasted my money ($30) total on the other two dishes. If not for the House Fried Rice I would have been hungry. On a positive note the receptionist was very welcoming, polite and friendly.

The flavors are incredible, and every dish is a perfect balance of freshness and seasoning. The portions are generous, the service is quick, and the staff were friendly. My favorites are the Mongolian Empire, Black Pepper Empire, Teriyaki Empire, and House Mei Fun, but honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Magic Wok truly lives up to its name – every bite is magical!

We were tired and hungry after a long day at UAB and wanted dinner and some sleep. Magic Wok was two blocks from our hotel and thought we would give it a try. So glad we did
the staff was polite, the food was very good and the portion size was tremendous. We could have shared a plate as we both had more than half of our food leftover. UAB will be our home away from home in the near future and Magic Wok will surely be one of our go to quick spots. Teriyaki Chicken with Lomein đŸ‘đŸ»

The service was wonderful, and the food was delicious 😋 😍. We live Tuscaloosa AL, and we don't have a restaurant that has good Chinese food. I will definitely return.

Ordered hot and sour soup for pick up. First off, customer service over the phone sucks, whoever is answering the phone is very short, hardly opening her mouth with an attitude, so I had to constantly ask her to repeat herself. I should’ve just took that as a red flag and went elsewhere. I went ahead and ordered some hot and sour soup. YUCKKKKKKK. No flavor, no seasoning and it’s just hot, doesn’t have that tangy type flavor, none of the usual ingredients like hot and sour soup usually has. Definitely don’t recommend! Trust me.

This food is the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. A complete disgrace to the entire country of China. Maybe the chicken is better, but the beef is terrible.

The Chinese cuisine I had the misfortune of experiencing was of an exceptionally low standard, falling well below any reasonable expectation of quality. The beef lo mein I specifically ordered was particularly disappointing and left me with no desire to ever return to that establishment.
