Mellow Mushroom Birmingham

Just went to mellow mushroom for the first time I had Atticus as my server he was super attentive even tho he was busy with other parties both managers came and asked me how my food and time here was and I said it was a nice experience. I was super anxious about to come and eat alone but they made it worth it, 5 star service and food

Typically I would give mellow mushroom a higher rating bc I’m a huge fan, however this was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at any restaurant. Our party had traveled from Texas and Tennessee to visit and meet/ have our family dinner here. Our party was very disappointed, we waited almost a hour for our food to arrive with frozen breads, cold plates, and bland meat. Then to top it off went to the restroom to find clothes on the floor, zero toilet paper and alcohol bottles of chardanay. That makes sense considering how bad the establishment was it makes me think maybe the employees were drinking…🤷🏻‍♀️That restroom was just disgusting 🤢 I absolutely would NOT recommend this location to anyone, drive to the other location you’ll be glad you did. This one does not live up to normal mellow mushroom expectations.

Some of the food arrived cold. Some of the buns were frozen. The plates felt as if they were in the refrigerator and to be clear we ordered hot hoagies and burger. The only thing piping hot was the pizza. The waiter was very kind and apologized but the managers response was *what do you want me to do* . On top of this none of the women's bathroom stalls had toilet paper and there was a change of clothes on the floor and empty liquor bottles in the bathroom. There were only 6 tables with customers so they were not busy. As a long time mellow mushroom customer we are disappointed at this location. We travel state to state quite often and Mellow mushroom is a place we usually feel comfortable eating at but this location was a no for us. What's sad is this was the first time for some of our family so their first impression was not a great one.

I had the worst experience EVER with this particular location.

I had come in as a party of 12 for a family dinner with guests coming from our of state. Upon arrival, we were informed that the kitchen was out of a bunch of stuff. This was at 5 PM on a Sunday. After waiting for over 50 mins, we ended up getting items ranging from frozen burger buns to half-cooked/cold hoagie meat and missing order items.

When I spoke with the manager, her demeanor was completely unprofessional and unhelpful. At one point she basically resigned to not being aware of what's going on in the kitchen in which she is literally standing and working.

I would ask you to avoid this specific location if you can. I'm a mellow mushroom fan but this location is a disgrace to the franchise.

Highly disappointed in my food this evening! I order her often and always enjoy my food but not today. The pizza was cold and it was so cold the cheese was stuck to the bottom of the box extremely greasy soggy and wet on the bottom as well, the wings lacked sauce and was undercooked after asking for extra crispy. Overall 60.00 wasted!!!!!!

Vau! Not a first time in this chain, but this one is amazing! First of all it is the center of the Birmingham, great position. A lot of space inside and outside. I think you should never go with anything else than pizza, but I am biased. I got Great White and it was just so delicious that you could feel and taste every single cheese component separately and fresh basil with tomatoes on top. My taste buds had a great dance with dough and crust perfectly greasy and crunchy just enough. They do have great selection of beers and desserts as well. Just come and enjoy with great service and atmosphere.

Vegetarian options: Many pizzas are just vegeterian.

Dietary restrictions: Well respected!

Parking: Parking behind building available at the night.

Kid-friendliness: Many kids have fun with decoration and great desserts.

Went on a Saturday afternoon, were seated immediately inside. It wasn’t too busy at all! Our waiter was great, he checked on us frequently and was patient with our party of 7.
The kids menu was small & slightly disappointing, but glad they had one nonetheless. Pretzels and Mac & cheese were alright.
Wings were not crispy like the menu said so we asked for them to be sent back to be crispier, waiter was super understanding about it.
Pizza & Calzone were good. I had the same pizza at a Mellow Mushroom down in St. Simons and it tasted a little different, better truthfully.
The spinach dip was 1000% the best item we had & the peach iced tea!
