Great local food. Cuban sandwich is good. Mofongo meal is so flavorful. Beans and rice serving could feed 4 people. Took some home to add to dinner. Friendly, local business. Try the Jesus Cake-supports a good cause.
Fantastic option for Cuban cuisine in Birmingham. After trying to make it here several weekend-starts in a row, I was finally able to give it a go, and was not disappointed at all. My selected dishes included mofongo (pork), an empanada, and rice & black beans, and everything was delicious (with the exception (sadly) of the empanada, which tasted a bit off - almost like the pastry wasn't fresh or was frozen). Considering the taste of the rest of the meal though, I'd hope the latter was just an anomaly and not a norm. The restaurant is on the smaller side and is located in the heart of downtown, so considering that with regards to Friday night dinner crowd expectations, it wasn't very busy; probably a reflection of the location moreso than popularity though. All in all, I enjoyed trying it out for the first time, and am looking forward to heading back here to try some additional new flavors and dishes.
Super good food and the staff is very friendly to its customers.
Stopped in for lunch, it was ready in a flash, so so delicious and enjoyed a friendly atmosphere! Don’t miss the house sauce. Highly recommend all the way around!
I ordered the mofongo and had enough for 3 full meals. The serving sizes are huge, and the food is incredible! It has so much flavor. I can't recommend it highly enough.
Very good Caribbean food! The owner had an amazing testimony and he gives back to the community. You need to try his Jesus cake.
This was really great food! Very unique, in my opinion, to the everyday food in Alabama. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious, and the staff is super nice.
This place is the best! The Cuban is out of this world, you've got to try the mofongo and yuca fries. Plus the pastries and the Jesus cake are delicious
The food was amazing my daughter and myself had the buffet everything was favorful the meat was very tender. The owner was very welcoming ❤️. I will most definitely be coming back
Absolutely delicious Puerto Rican food! Was so good I inhaled a third of it before taking a picture to brag to family about this local gem. Leftovers for dinner were just as good!

Fantastic food and a super friendly staff. They talked and joked with us while serving one of the best Cuban sandwiches I've ever had. This place is a gem.LOADS of vegan options.
Food is ok. They charge $5 for a beef patty that tastes like &1.50.
Stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant when driving through Birmingham. Food was great, and service was exceptional. The owner was working super hard but made it seem effortless. He even gave us several things to try on the house. I often worry about how downtown restaurants will receive young kids but both my 6 and 3 year old had a blast, with my daughter telling me it was the best restaurant she’s ever been to.
Amazing service and great quality of food. Highly recommend if your in the area. Great choice if your looking to try something different.
I ordered from here and was told that my food will be ready in 10 minutes. The guy also stated that they close at 2 so please be on time. I live exactly 8 minutes away and when I reached to the restaurant my food order was not ready nor had it been placed. Waited over thirty minutes and then when we decided to leave the lady came out and says do u want the food or not. I replied y’all had taken a long time and the food was supposed to have been ready in ten minutes. I reached here at 1: 13 it’s now 1:58 she flagged her hand as if she was not interested in what I was saying and said Do you want the food yes or No. I said No. very rude and unprofessional I will never return
