I've heard good things about Myras pulled pork for a long time and finally went to check it out today. The smoke flavor was good but it's a bit dry in my opinion. You have to douse it with sauce to eat it. A good pulled pork sandwhich shouldn't require any sauce if done right. Maybe it was an off day IDK.
You must visit this barbecue before anyone else. I am. disappointed in myself that I didn’t write this review many years ago. This is the best barbecue in fact several presidents have visited This restaurant. Food is outstanding. Please do yourself a favor just go. Portions are good food is fresh service with a smile when September, you could smell the barbecue cooking and the parking lot. Very worth it outstanding
To think, my family and I used to live 5 blocks from there. It was common for us to smell the BBQ smoke from our house and now whenever I drive through there and smell it, it takes me back. We moved to Cahaba Heights in the Summer of '87 and had the luxury of going there to pick up many meals whether it was ribs with sides every Fourth of July or their loaded potatoes every couple of weeks.
