We just got bubble tea here so perhaps the food is better than the bubble tea. The staff was nice however they seemed a bit confused if they could accommodate special requests. While it did allow me to get my fix of bubble tea for the day, I probably wouldn’t go back just for bubble tea.

My husband and I love this place! We miss the original menu (especially the crepes) but the poke bowls are awesome. Make sure to try their yogurt drinks (I think no longer on the menu but they will still make it if you ask). The only disappointing thing about Momotaro is the rolled ice cream — it’s good, but not special enough for the money you pay. Also it seems like the poke bowls have gotten smaller since the new menu. :/ But you still get a good amount for the price.

The food was great — but when I went to tip the woman behind the register, she said that the staff does not get the tips. Rather, when you tip on the iPad device you use to pay, the owners keep that extra money and then disburse that money to the staff once a month. And, to be clear, she told me that the owners kept most of that money. I tried to tip her cash, but she said she was on camera and could not accept the money. Anyhow, eat here is you want to but keep in mind how the owners steal from their staff.

Easily the best poké spot in Birmingham. Good pricing, nice specials, fresh sushi. If you’re a sushi and poké fiend like me, this is your spot.

I decided to branch out & try something new on my healthy eating and it was a fail. The free tea with my tiny bowl was the only good thing. I recommend the peach mango tea. I highly regret spending the money on the land & sea bowl. $14 for a tiny bowl.

It seems like they were acquired by a sushi restaurant and no longer offer crepes. Sushi restaurants come a dime a dozen, so I feel like the tradeoff really isn't worth it considering how good the crepes were and how typical the sushi is.

Wow! Best bowl ever! Fresh, big portions, pretty presentation, delicious, and definitely the best in five points! Love it! I will bring friends and family

As RNs we utilize waiter frequently, this is our first time ordering with Momotaro and it was amazing! I had the spicy chicken crepe and strawberry smoothie. They were a delicious combo! The way they packaged the food was great! All crepes stayed intact. Others said bowl are good too. Ingredients is super fresh. This will definitely be a go to on the weekends! Thanks for healthy options for the weekend night crew at UAB!

Easily the best poke bowl in the city! Super fresh ingredients, so many options (as well as crepes, both savory and sweet), and you get enough to feel satisfied for hours. All of their proteins are delicious, and their sauces are to die for! They have become our new default for a refreshing lunch in Birmingham. You have to try it!

I love the way they designed this place. I also enjoy the logo, it reminds me of a butt! Lol, that aside though the quality of everything is far from a butt. They have poke bowls, crepes (sweet & savory), rolled up ice cream, and some tea! It's a cool hang out spot for any age groups. The music is upbeat so you know you just get good feelings! I believe they run a special where you buy a signature bowl, you get a free drink. The only thing that can make this place better is they add some board games. They recently added a dart board, so it's getting there!

Food is great especially the savory crepes. Tried the strawberry iced tea and it was delicious as well. Finally tried the land and sea poke bowl and enjoyed it. Would recommend just for something different to try in Southside. Their dessert crepes and rolled ice cream look yummy and it's all reasonable prices.

So I've eaten from Momotaro twice now. The first was through DoorDash and the second I decided to actually go in. Overall the food is GREAT. I created my own Poke Bowl the first time and it was so good and there were lots of options to choose from. All of the ingredients in my bowl were extremely fresh. My second time I had the Mango on the Beach crepe and I added vanilla ice cream and it was very sweet and refreshing on this hot summer day. The restaurant itself is decorated very nicely and you can watch while your food is made. I give this a four stars however because the servers weren't very friendly or talkative and didn't know much about what was on the menu like the milk tea which is also very delicious. Overall I love this cafe and will be back to try more things on there menu. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fresher meal.

It's Saturday late afternoon and I was told after waiting 15 minutes, 40 minutes to get some ice cream...No way!

One of my favorite restaurants in Birmingham. They give good portions and their crepes and poke bowls are the best I've ever had! Atmosphere is great, definitely check it out! Very cute
