The atmosphere and the scenic view of the bar is a great place to enjoy the Birmingham Skyline. The drinks were mediocre and the pizza was not good at all. Not sure I would recommend it at all. Great place just to hang, eat before

You want to drink? You can do that at a thousand places in the metro.You want a special drink with THE best view in Alabama? Well, this is that spot.Along with a few eats that are great in their own right, this spot is absolutely incredible for a date night or a gathering with friends. The view alone is worth the hike up the special elevator, but it’s the service and extremely unique cocktail menu that keeps you there.There’s 100s of bars in Birmingham… but there’s only one like this.

I love to go to Moonshine for a relaxing night out with the guys. I always get the pizza, but some of the others have gotten other items, and they loved them. The ladies at the bar are better than awesome. They are always smiling, and that only adds to me being drawn to Moonshine even more. I have nothing negative to say. If you are looking for a good place to relax and have a few drinks this is a good place to do that.Parking: Parking can be especially challenging if there is something going on nearby, like a concert. If there aren't any major events going on, then street parking can be an option. Parking regardless is challenging, but if you go before the night crowd, starts to get out, you can find parking. Anything after 6 pm, is when it starts to get challenging.
The location, the view, and the atmosphere of Moon Shine is fantastic! From the elevator ride up with the glass ceiling panels to the views of downtown and the surrounding area from multiple outdoor areas, this bar has the POTENTIAL to be the best bar in all of Birmingham. The let down was the staff and service.... There were two people on staff covering the bar tending, bussing, cleaning and cooking pizzas for a bar that needed three to four on staff. Old glasses and plates were everywhere. The bar was sticky. Peoples food orders were wrong and or not made at all. Most importantly the drinks were not great and took way too long. The bartender was super friendly and had a great personality BUT it was way too busy for him to try to make conversation when there is literally a line of 6 to 7 people trying to order drinks. Just having a second bartender or a good bar back would have changed the experience completely. For this reason we could only give them 3 stars.

THE GREATEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!! David the bartender is amazingly awesome with an extraordinarily unforgettable personality!!! I will definitely be back. The ambiance on the rooftop is wonderful with the beautiful view. Perfect for a girl's night or a romantic night with someone special!!!!

Wonderful atmosphere and a great place to go for drinks and an amazing view. Drinks were made quickly and came out delicious. The attention from the staff was on point. The outside patio was so inviting. I plan to come here again with a group of friends and next time order some food.

I had been here back in August and everything was amazing! However after today I will never be coming back. The pizza dough was raw. The drinks were meh. The staff were not friendly nor on top of it.

Absolute joke. Hen bar, people smoking, more people in security checking 40+ than pouring drinks, tables filled with glasses of people who’ve left. I don’t know who’s managing this place but bad bad bad for Marriott top tier priced property. Shame on you. Came twice left twice.
