The food was delicious! I have to admit that it often tasted better than it looked. The cornbread was a little darker than I like it but was moist and had a great taste. The restaurant was small and cramped but the smiles and wonderful greetings from the staff made it all disappear ??. The price was a little higher some some of the other meat and threes but when you grab the bag you better have two hands on it or you may drop it(lol). So overall the price for what you get is very reasonable. I will comeback to try another day!
My first time eating here today with family I will go again. My yams were left off my plate, next time I will check before I leave. Very generous with the servings.

The best soul food hands down. I enjoyed everything on my plate as well as my husband’s plate. Service, consistency, atmosphere and taste are all 5 stars.Kid-friendliness: Family restaurantWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible
Home of the heavy plate is exactly right! These plates were loaded down. The food was mediocre in my opinion. The oxtails could have been cooked just a tad longer. However, they don't claim to be a Caribbean or Jamaican restaurant. The yams were extremely sweet in my opinion. I was put off by the noodles used in the Mac and cheese but it was actually very well seasoned. I do wish they offered a roll instead of only cornbread. I would give them another try, just definitely a different dish.
