Great location.... Sushi was good quality, liked the sashimi, the sushi and the roll.

Service was really good, took care of me right away.

Stopped here on a whim and glad we did. This restaurant is a gem. We ordered the Shrimp Hibachi and Steak and Chicken Bento box. The steak was tender and perfectly cook, veggies were crisp and fresh, soup, salad, and California roll, and rice were delicious. All at a great price. Very cool and casual atmosphere. Plenty of parking.

Staff is very friendly , kept my cup full , very attentive . This is my first time here as I am on business. First appetizer seaweed salad , it was fresh , flavorful , perfectly made.
Next was the sashimi appetizer, fresh cold fish , nicely prepared . Thick slices , just the way I like it.
Main course did not disappoint. The roll was soo delicious , love fresh food. Tuna Amazing Roll... It was amazing , delicious , fresh , flavorful , yummy...

It’s always so good here! The foods amazing and the service is even better! They were super busy and still managed to give every customer great service in a timely manner. There was a rude guy that came in and lied saying he wasn’t taken care of for 45min , but he was in ten min of coming in . Some people are so gross. But the food here is delicious!

I’ve tried to go to lunch at Okinawa within the past two weeks and the service is awful. I had to wait 45 minutes today before I eventually just walked out. I hate it because the food is good but they are definitely under staffed. Such a bummer because I loved their lunch but I’ll be going somewhere else from now on

this location has been a Birmingham staple for me for over a decade. Good food that is affordably priced is enough for me, but Okinawa has always had outstanding service that brings me back time and time again.

My colleague highly recommended this place, so I was genuinely excited to try it. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. I ordered a sushi roll, and having enjoyed sushi for over 20 years, I was surprised by the poor quality. The salmon on top was unusually mushy, almost as if it had been ground. The roll was supposed to contain scallops, yet I couldn’t find a single piece. The ginger lacked freshness in both appearance and taste, and the wasabi, whether house-made or not, was surprisingly mild, unlike any I’ve had before. Sadly, I will not be returning.

Every experience at this restaurant has been fantastic! My family has been dining there since they opened. Their customer service is unbeatable! I really think Linda could teach a course on how to run a business. As a vegetarian, they have delicious options. Our son and daughter who are not vegetarian both love the angel roll! Okinawa is a fabulous restaurant!

i love the hibachi my first time trying it was great . they sometimes are stingy with condiments and don’t want to give any extras out . customer service is ok

The habichi had no flavor at all. It was so loud we could not even talk to one another. They were out of stuff we ordered and it took the waitress forever to tell us.

RECOMMEND this Japanese restaurant in this area. Their prices are reasonable for the quality of their dishes, which are truly delicious. They offer a vast range and variety of sushi, ramen and other hot plates. Will return to try their other dishes
