our place used to be a fun bar but the owner and his boy had ran it in the ground!! guess the owner didn't learn their lesson with the last person he was dating.. the atmosphere is crap and when the owner fights with his boyfriend in front of people, it makes it a crappy time.. the owner is a drunk and the so called other owner had no name before he got attached to the owner of OP so now he thinks his s**t doesnt stink.. no food.. it has gone down over the last several years and it's apparently clear that the owner doesn't care anymore.... the bartenders are nice for the most part.. two of them great.. usually Sundays are full of softball players who get pissed off at each other because one the boyfriends is sleeping with someone else on a different team.... then they wanna fight about it.... the owner and his boy stay drunk and ruin everyone's evening....

Good ol crowd, fun nights, great bartenders, and great prices.Friendly people to sit and chat with around the horseshoe bar. Very family-esque community vibes. The bartenders typically know your face, name, and drink of choice.No kitchen, but food is allowed to be brought in. They do have small bar snacks.The music is wide variety, but typically a house lounge music of funky style on the popular hours.Supportive of local lgbt+ softball and Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. Sunday fundays with cornhole and usual grilling in the parking lot.Never a cover charge.

My friends and I came here on a Monday night and it was not very busy, but the service and the atmosphere was great! We ordered some drinks and they were really good. Vicky was the bar tender that night and she was so great and made sure we were all taken care of. I would highly recommend Our Place if you are looking for an inclusive dive bar in Birmingham. We will be back!
