Ugh! Absolutely nasty! Never waste your money on this high-priced Captain D's! Glad they are out of business!

I adore this place! They give fantastic meals, their menu is large, The cook in that spot is a real pro, I love very much trying all their dishes. The dishes are always fresh and tasty, the attitude towards the visitors is good. I visit often this restaurant and I was never discontended. I recommend it to all.

A heads up that they are closed for remodeling on the website would be great.

Absolutely nasty! If all you want is fried, frozen food, then by all means help yourself! I will never go back!

7:30pm saturdsy. All dark. Web site says open, but all dark. Drove an hour to get here, love the oysters, but if they are now closed all is wasted. Call b4 you go, may not be be open

Parish is simply the best seafood restaurant in this half of the state. The raw oysters are always properly cold and fresh. The catfish is outstanding.

Restaurant now closed. My wife and I had eaten there twice before and it was just ok. They had lost their liquor license the year before so I’m not surprised it closed. It’s hard to have an oyster bar without cold beer.

I have been here several times during the time I have been in Trussville. It is truelly hit and miss what you can expect when you go here. Usually the food is very good, but I have been several times when they were out of many things. Also the service can be hit and miss in quality. When you hit it on a good day, this is a very good restaurant and one of my favorite in Trussville. When you hit it on a bad day, you can have a very frustrating and disappointing experience.

We stopped in here on a trip to Birmingham when I was craving some old fashioned, southern seafood. We came to the right place. It's tiny little restaurant/bar with great food. We both decided on the fried goodness and most definitely left stuffed. We sat 'outside' (which is really still inside) on the screened in porch and were served by a friendly waitress. There's a bar area and some seating when you walk in but the place to be is on the porch; especially when the bar isn't able to sell alcohol. There were a few larger parties of older ladies who seemed to be celebrating birthdays or something. I'm guessing this is the locals choice to spend a special occasion. We really enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend stopping in. The portions are generous and the food is so good. My only suggestion would be not to bother with the onion ring upgrade; stick with the fries.

Stumbled on this place while traveling from STL. Just go if you are in the area, it is well worth it

My husband ordered gumbo and I ordered shrimp etouffee. We wanted a dozen oysters each to begin our meal but were informed that they were out of oysters and crab, so no fresh oysters or crab cakes. They could offer fried oysters. That means they come in previously breaded and frozen. We got our requested meal and both our dishes were truly disgusting! The gumbo had was more like rice with gravy! There was very little seafood, okra, etc. within the rice mixture. Even the seasonings didn’t taste right. The shrimp etouffee had 3 shrimp included, and was swimming in a butter sauce with rice. There were few vegetables within the etouffee. They added two overly fried hush puppies in each bowl, and they didn’t taste worthy either. Neither of us were interested in finishing our meals. Then the waitress returns and said they had just gotten the oysters in and would give us a complimentary half dozen. The raw oysters were tasty but very small. This was our first and last visit to this restaurant!

The people here dont know how to read ID's. Served me alcohol then came and took it back because someone said my ID was fake. I'm 28 years old. Every state id looks different. I would never suggest this place to anyone.

This was an excellent little hole in the wall place that we just so happened to stumble upon while in the area. We went to Alabama to see the Motorsports Museum(amazing, by the way) and I discovered that the boyfriend had never ever had oysters!

The best food I've ever had the oyster was so fresh and delicious me and my wife talked about it all the way home
