Helloooooo tea!!! Excellent customer service today and loving this honey in my tea!!! I'm going to try and make the break from coffee to tea so I picked up the Monks Meditation tea and bought a bamboo tumbler with the tea basket!! Super excited to get home and try this tea! Maybe I will be buying more when I get home! Also, I love the variety of metal straws they have!! Way to go Piper and Leaf!! (PS, my brother-in-laws sister owns the loose leaf in Cali)

The magic of Piper & Leaf starts with the tea itself — it's phenomenal. They use a lot of locally sourced ingredients, and the flavors are unbelievable. The Old Fashioned Birthday Cake really does taste like birthday cake (I even get the unsweet version, and it still tastes that way — I don't understand it, but I'll take it.) I also love their chais and their seasonal flavors — well, it's really all pretty great.Piper & Leaf is famous for their jars of iced sweet tea and their flavor selection, but they can also do unsweet tea and any of their teas hot as well. They have teas available to order and drink, and they also have loose leaf and sachets available. (Their loose leaf teas come in bags that can also act as tea strainers in a pinch, which is pretty great.) The loose leaf teas come with instructions for how to brew a cup of hot tea, a jar of iced tea, or even as a bigger batch if you're brewing for a large group. This location has coffee as well.I've always had the friendliest service at Piper & Leaf — they take time to hear you out, help you find the tea that will work best for you, and make sure you leave happy. I couldn't recommend them more; their fans are extremely dedicated, and for good reason.

First introduced two years ago to Piper and Leaf at Pepper Place and got instantly hooked by Front Porch Special. Early grey is my favorite tea and Front Porch Special is such a unique take on it. I believe Dan was the person manning their booth that day, and I'm so happy because he was really knowledgeable about all the teas. Since then, I've been able to try numerous teas and coffees from Piper and Leaf and everything I've tried has been high quality. They recently released Old Fashioned Cake (earl grey with lavender and vanilla) that is hands down the best earl grey I've ever tasted. It's like drinking early grey with a little bit of cream and sugar but without adding anything. I also tried their boba tea and enjoyed it. The boba was actually made pretty well. My only con is that it's a bit pricey to buy all the time at the store. I definitely recommend buying the loose leaf and brewing at home because it is really nice tea and some wonderful blends I haven't tasted elsewhere.

We happened to visit Pizitz Food Hall twice in two days over this past weekend when we were visiting Birmingham. On Saturday, we were able to try some Piper and Leaf teas (I tried a golden tea - ginger/turmeric, and my husband had one of their chais), which were good! On our visit today, we wanted to get a coffee (I know they specialize in tea, but there isn't a proper coffee shop in Pizitz), but their espresso machine was broken and they couldn't make coffee drinks. It's definitely an okay place to grab an interesting tea if you're exploring Pizitz or walking around downtown!

I dont know of any other place where you can get this selection of teas in Birmingham. When I knew I was going to be meeting friends at Pizitz Food Hall for dinner tonight one of the places I was excited about visiting was Piper and Leaf. I made sure to bring my Piper and Leaf branded mason jar so that I could get a small discount on my iced tea purchase (final price of a pint refill jar was 3.30). Make sure to get a taste before you buy so you know what you are getting and whether or not you will like it. I tried their new special tea that had been made for Valentine's Day and really liked it! Hints of chocolate and strawberry made it quite possibly the perfect Valentine's tea! Since I was getting Nepalese food, I decided to go with something a little more standard and got the lemon berry blush. It went very well with my food, just as expected. So why four stars instead of five? I guess Im still a little unhappy with the prices. I think a refill should be around 1.50, not 3.00. So, I really like it and I will pay the $3 but, its over priced.

I love this coffee and tea shop! This was my go to place when I lived in Huntsville/Madison, AL and now it is so exciting to have them here in Birmingham! The teas are awesome! I also love the pour over coffee, even the decaf is tasty! Customer service is excellent; the staff is so friendly and always answers my never ending questions about the teas. Note: they have a lot of caffeine and caffeine free tea options!

Piper and Leaf - A little pricier than the grocery store stuff. Best tea I have ever had.

Wonderful loose leaf tea. Hipsters fall prey to spending $5 on a glass but you can buy it loose leaf and make it at home, it is the same thing.

I LOVE this place!!!! The tea is wonderful, the people and kind and helpful, everything about this place is great! I've been visiting them at farmers markets for years and I'm so happy they finally have a location in Birmingham! This is a must visit at Pizitz Food Hall!

Piper and Leaf is a Bham favorite! At Pepper Place, the line is always super long, so they opened up this great space! I love that they are helping the environment by selling glass jars to bring back and get a cheaper refill. They now have reusable straws too!

Piper and leaf has definitely set itself apart from all other tea joints. The first time I tried P&L was in Huntsville and I was extremely excited when I heard about the Birmingham location. We can all take pride in this locally owned business and their down to earth attitude! My first time visit to the Woodlawn location was very similar to Huntsville, great people willing to serve and fill you in on anything you would like to know about the tea! Sammy is a wonderful employee and very helpful.

Easy to miss from 1st Ave as it is tucked in a short strip, but do not be deceived! Piper and Leaf has a wide and flavorful selection of hot and iced teas, samples available, and answers for all your questions. They also have a beautiful gift sample set. The Briar Patch tea is so tasty. This will be a regular stop on every future visit to Birmingham, but I may also take to their website to supplement in the meantime.
