I love Post Office Pies for two reasons, it's local, and it's good! I got the chicken pesto pizza, and it was delightful. The pesto was fresh, slightly sweet, and earthy. The chicken was juicy and savory. The two paired well with each other, and the crispy, freshly baked crust made for an unforgettable pizza. The service was fast and friendly. As far as I could tell, there weren't any COVID-19 precautions, but the establishment was clean and the menu options were affordable. The ambiance was a reflection of the uniqueness and character of Avondale. If you're from out of town and like pizza, I recommend stopping by.

Post Office Pies is an Avondale institution and a fun and delicious destination for pizza. The place has a cool overall ambiance and the service has always been friendly and professional. Post Office Pies has always provided a good time and some solid pizza. Again, this is an iconic institution in the Avondale section of Birmingham, Alabama. I am a huge fan of pizza snd being from New Jersey, a state that is known for fantastic pizza, it is sometimes difficult to find good pizza since moving down here to the south back in 2001. So, it is always amazing when I do find great pizza and truly a cause for celebration. And, hey, what better to celebrate finding great pizza than with a slice of that wonderful pizza in hand? I would definitely recommend Post Office Pies.

Wish it could have been more consistent with the flavors. Veggie pizza is what we ordered and it was lacking in toppings and the onions well it could be called a onion pizzaAnd the seasonal salad was only 13 bucks but went in garbage.

This place comes with rave reviews.. $52 bucks for 2 very small pizzas. For $52 dollars, they should at least be the size of little Caesar's or taste like $52. They were terribly small, and were not very good. I will never be back!

This a great locally owned and operated pizza joint.The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The 9in. pizza is perfect for two for a snack. The tiramisu was wonderful.

I'd noticed this place when dining at a restaurant nearby and made a note to visit if ever in the area again. I was shopping with my son and passed by. He happened to be hungry, so I got a chance to try it. I ordered Margherita pizza, and my son ordered Italian. He truly enjoyed his, and mine was tasty, too. The restaurant itself was cozy and had music playing as we dibed, which I found entertaining. The staff was great as well. Enjoyed the experience!
The pizza was so delicious.The cook knew what he was doing. Amazing!The bartender/server was mediocre, at best. He never checked on us. Never offered us another drink. Never even made eye-contact with us.Also, may want to do some cleaning and upkeep. The pizza is enough to bring me back.

The freshest pizza in the city! Toppings taste like fresh picked from the garden. There is also the OG brick fired oven in the kitchen and YES- you can taste the difference! The manager Shala took great care of us and we'll definitely be back!
