I give a five star rating only because of the friends and memories of singing kareoke with Kareoke Joe(Who I miss talking too there). If you want to have a better time without having to worry about nonsense, go to Blues and Brews right next door. Much better atmosphere.
That being said, it has been over 3 years since the absolute false rumors were started about me by who knows? Last time I was in Pub 261, was having a great time with friends I haven't seen in awhile, this was THREE YEARS AGO, rooting them on kareoke and they were doing the same for me. I paid my tab when I was leaving, said bye to everyone and Joe Kareoke as usual who I've known for 20 years.
I came back several days later and was stopped at the door and told that im banned. This was Three years ago and I've tried, in a very civil manner, to reach out as to why and have only been told im lifetime ban(friends of mine have told me and shown me of the HORRIBLY FALSE RUMORS about me as to why). I was a patron for many years. I didn't start a scene there, never been one of these people that was arrested there or anything. It's one thing to suspend someone, even over a false rumor, till the nonsense dies down. It's another to permanently ban someone UNJUSTLY. I know many reading this know who I am and maybe have even participated in the false rumoring. It's really character defamation as well and all I want is to come back and sing kareoke and mind my own business. Beware, I suppose, because youll just be banned for no reason if they are in a bad mood.

Good place to gather with friends. Cover charge is too pricey for the quality of the entertainment. Parking is sometimes crowded.

There is a live DJ and they play a variety of music from Kelly Clarkson to Kendrick Lamar. I thought I was walking into a country or rock bars. They ID you at the door I thought was different since I just came from a bar next door and was not Ided. You can’t bring anything in here from other places drinks or foods.I asked the bartender here for the drink menu and he told me there was no menu.

My coworker and I were down in Hoover for work, and walked into Pub 261 one evening for a couple cocktails, both wearing North Dakota State apparel. The bar was packed, as it was Feb 8th, 2022 - the day #2 Auburn Basketball lost to Arkansas 76-80 in an OT thriller. Auburn fans welcomed us with open arms, and even paid for our drinks. The atmosphere was ELECTRIC while they streamed the game on the back wall of the bar. In that moment, we were die hard War Eagle. One of the toughest losses I've ever experienced. Recommend this bar to anyone.

The food is very good, but I've been at lunch now twice, and both times it took a long time to get my food. Both times I have gotten there between 11:15 and 11:30 thinking I would beat the lunch crowd, both times we were over an hour getting our food. The place was not overly crowded either. I like the food, but can't afford to wait that long to eat at lunch.
Parking: There are several businesses in this shopping center, but I have not had an issue parking and the parking is close to the building

Terrible service, awful food. Waiters and bartenders are rude, they talk badly about customers, and management is incompetent in handling any and all issues. There was an issue well known with regulars that they were shorting people on drinks, with no repercussions. They do not adhere to ABC regulations, or care about their customers. Not child friendly as music is mostly explicit, as is the environment. The place smells like an ashtray as well.

Did not eat on this trip thru, but the food I saw looked really good. Big bar space, with pool tables and plenty of seats. Very cordial bartender who never let us have an empty bottle.
