Real & Rosemary Homewood

Our family (my husband & I & our three toddlers) was in the area today & were recommended Real & Rosemary for lunch. We had a wonderful experience. The staff was incredibly welcoming & accommodating! The food was absolutely delicious! We will definitely be adding this to our list of favorites in the Birmingham/Homewood area!

I’ve enjoyed the food here every time I eat. Despite my dairy allergy there are menu items I can eat and they are tasty! The staff is always nice. Sometimes it’s very busy and hard to find a place to sit.

So delicious! It’s been a while since we’ve eaten here and I’ve fallen back in love with an old favorite. We’re always on the go and I have grown so tired of typical take out. I was craving something healthy and hearty with real food and this hit the spot. My to-go order was ready early and bagged nicely waiting for me. Super easy to run in and out and still feed my family a meal I can feel good about. Busy evenings don’t have to mean eating poorly. Thanks R&R!

Bread for chicken salad sandwich was burnt, the caprese salad was just brown pasta, NOTHING was good except for the orange blossom lemonade! Willl never go back

Really bland spaghetti. Sandwich was half the size it normally is but was the same price. No salt or pepper anywhere. Extremely disappointed in this restaurant.

This restaurant is consistently excellent! Their staff is so friendly and helpful. The restaurant is always clean and very poor together. The food... The food is so fresh, clean and delicious 😋! You must try it!!!

Very enjoyable! I had the vegetable plate (choose 4 from sides). Corn cake, roasted carrots, succotash, macaroni and cheese. Delicious! Huge portions. Space is nice, service was a bit slow to get started (but we did arrive right at opening).

If you're looking for food that resembles a home cooked meal and walking distance from the Aloft hotel, then Real & Rosemary is a perfect choice. You can dine in or place an order for pickup on their website. I arrived around 530pm, and there were four guests dining inside and no wait. You place your order at the register, and your food is brought to your table along with silverware and a cloth napkin. All employees were friendly and the wait for the food wasn't very long.

I had the flounder cakes plate with macaroni and cheese and sweet potato wedges for $15.49.
The serving was generous, and the food was hot and delicious. I cleaned my plate! It was my first time having flounder cakes, and I enjoyed the flavor and preferred them over salmon cakes. It wasn't very fishy, and the seasoning was perfect. Macaroni was cheesy and and the potato wedges were savory. The restaurant also provides water for free.

It's a charming and cozy restaurant with seating available inside and outside. The food is tasty and reasonable.

Dinner and drinks were delicious, bring a jacket. It's cool inside. Or enjoy outdoor seating if available.

It's a very cute spot. I loved the decor. I ordered a BLT and it was cold. The tomatoes were burned and the fried okra was also cold and stale. The bacon was burned. The lemonade was awesome. We had to leave and go somewhere else and get food because what we paid for was not appetizing at all. We didn't complain because when we walked in, we weren't greeted, and all of the employees kept staring at us as if we shouldn't have been there. That was my first sign that I should have left. We went next door to Urban Cookhouse and it was amazing!!!

Great food and friendly staff! The atmosphere is cozy as well. Nice building but a bit small. Not enough parking but that’s Homewood in general
