I just read the sad news that Rib-It-Up has closed and my heart is broken. Debbie Kellogg,, Do you remember when you brought Rib-It-Up barbecue to that BioCryst picnic in 1992? I got the RibTip plate with potatoe salad and Mac and cheese with crackling cornbread muffin. When I tell u, the meat melts in your mouth, and the flavor is all there. The drive was well worth it. And the candy yams are excellent, so don't forget to try them.
The line/wait in the drive thru was unreasonably long. There were 3 cars ahead of us and we were before the lunchtime rush (11-ish). The BBQ ribs and baked beans were good. And Pulled/chopped pork sandwich was fine. Pricing was competitive. Food was Average for a BBQ joint but the wait made it below average.
