Food was great!! The sushi came quickly and so so good!!

Cons-
Tables were dirty and we were the first customer.. Other tables are wobbly and overall the tables and chairs are rusty and very old.. took us 3 tables to find one. Kinda shocked at how old they are! Also menus were old and dirty.

Okay, here's the backstory. I ordered on GrubHub (yes they are about to get chucked up I-59/20 on GameDay) not once not, not twice, but THREE whole times (so you know it wasn't R&RS fault).
Picture this Downtown Birmingham 2024. Two hotels directly across from each other. One is 808 blah blah, the other is 821 blah blah. I'm in the latter. How does the GrubHub driver take the first two orders to the OTHER hotel twice?
For the review: the restaurant worked diligently with me and even helped me chomp chomp into GrubHub so much so, they recognized my number. I originally ordered at 1602...I received my order at 1845-ish-ish? They comped me, I thank them so much for giving me a positive experience to a very terrible third party service.
As to why I stuck with the restaurant, it was not a matter of I had a taste for them, it was the service and kindness shown by those stellar people. Again I thank them.

My son and I had the best experience at the Rock n' roll sushi down town Birmingham! Nicole was our server could not have been any nicer and knows the food! Thank you Nicole for making our night! We can't wait to come back to see you and have more delicious food!!!

Been to this location many times, but have been progressively disappointed in the quality of food and service as of late. This visit, I ordered the California roll and the fried rice, and I have no complaints. My partner ordered the chicken hibachi with vegetables (no mushrooms). The chicken was cooked, but refrigerator-cold, and the vegetables were cold and raw. There were also mushrooms in the dish. Surprisingly, it took almost half an hour for this undercooked dish to get to our table.

We were also disappointed in the quality of service. Our server was pleasant, but was more often behind the counter on her phone or playfully flipping the bird to her coworkers than checking in on guests. Food sat in the window for several minutes before it was brought to tables. Each time, the workers at the sushi counter would try and get her attention away from her phone or other coworkers to run the plates to the tables.

We probably won’t visit this location again, but hope this review helps management grow towards better success in the future.

Rock ‘n’ roll sushi incredible! From presentation to Beyond delicious. So many flavors packed in that one dish!
To the [presumably] bar manager and server that had us all racking our brains for a song title, guess what I have for your playlist young lady!?
I was correct on the artist.. we just had the wrong song title: “Enjoy the Silence” by Depeche Mode

Absolutely loved the service and food. It was very clean great atmosphere. The food came out very quickly and was cooked to perfection. What made this visit the best overall was our server they called him “scoot” . If you go there you have to ask for him! 10/10 highly recommend! Will be back again very soon
