Absolutely delicious food. I had the peppered steak with rice and gravy. Got a side of Mac and cheese and green beans. Reminded me so much of my father and grandmother’s cooking. The wife had chicken tenders with fries. Staff was very friendly and pleasant. Service was quick and the facility was extremely clean. Will definitely be back if we are ever in the area again.

The food here is definitely the ONLY reason I will be back. Its something about soul food. It always comes with a side of attitude...lol. This is NOT the place for you if you have anxiety cause you WILL get rushed through the line so you better KNOW what you want because if you dont that's where the attitude kicks in. Also they dont ask you if you want a drink with your meal and dont even give you a chance to ask for one....like you could at least offer. Theu also have the desserts off to the side and its not clear if you need to grab your dessert before you get in line or tell them to add it to your meal or what...but chilllle the key lime cake period!!!!! I understand you want the line to run efficiently, but there's a fine line between being efficient and being rude. It gets crossed frequently.....just know that. If that kinda stuff doesn't bother you, then the food is definitely worth it. I would never go here alone however because I'm almost certain I would have a full on panic attack just because of the rushed atmosphere.

Ruth’s was suggested to me about 5 years ago and I have not stop going ever since! I recently took a friend to their new location in North Birmingham and they were blown away. Simply by the flavorful soul food and hospitality. We had an opportunity to try the sweet potato cornbread! It was so good I’m going to try to make it for thanksgiving this year! And I don’t like to cook yall lol!
