I stayed at Hotel Indigo in Birmingham and my daughter really wanted to eat breakfast in the restaurant downstairs. I was wary of the expensive prices but I decided to treat my daughter. We were in for a disappointing experience. The long wait wasn’t too big of a deal because we weren’t in a rush, but I was so disappointed in my $17 dollar omelet. It was supposed to have Conecuh sausage in it, instead I would swear on a stack of Bibles that instead it had a chopped up hot dog in it. I am the mother of three children, I know a hot dog when I see and taste one! It was also supposed to have breakfast potatoes but instead had an ultra processed patty of some kind with melted cheese inside. Lastly, it was supposed to come with local fried green tomatoes, but since we were visiting in February I understood when she said they didn’t have those. So, a hot dog omelet and a patty of indistinct origin. For $17?!?! High disappointing.

My friend and I visited here on January 30th and we had such a wonderful experience. We stopped in to get some drinks and and a snack before we retired to our room. We enjoyed the laid back vibe and felt like we could relax and just chill out. First of all the staff was just fabulous. I can’t say enough good things about the bartender and the chef. Our every need was catered to and the food and drinks were fresh and delicious. We will definitely return when we visit Birmingham again. And try the Brown Butter Cake with Ice Cream when you go, it’s to die for!

It's off the lobby of Hotel Indigo. I don't usually care for hotel restaurants, but it was late and we needed to grab a bite. Their salad was large and extremely fresh. One could make a meal of it by itself. Hamburger is like you'd make on your grill at home. And, the crab cakes were excellent. The bartender knew what he was doing and was very pleasant and helpful. This place is worth a visit.

Very nice place but bar needs to be bigger, it was standing room only. Bar tender, she was very nice and talkative. Only had the chicken quesadilla which was thick and loaded with chicken, delicious.
