My friend and I visited here on January 30th and we had such a wonderful experience. We stopped in to get some drinks and and a snack before we retired to our room. We enjoyed the laid back vibe and felt like we could relax and just chill out. First of all the staff was just fabulous. I can’t say enough good things about the bartender and the chef. Our every need was catered to and the food and drinks were fresh and delicious. We will definitely return when we visit Birmingham again. And try the Brown Butter Cake with Ice Cream when you go, it’s to die for!

I’m a CT Yankee in Birmingham for business. After a long day working away from home, it’s nice to come to nice bar for a nightcap. Marcus the bartender is Da Bomb!! Keeps the drinks and conversation flowing. Truly a good mixologist and Genuinely good people! Great work Marcus!! Thank you! Btw, smoked whiskey is excellent!!

Food was much better than expected. It's off the lobby of Hotel Indigo. I don't usually care for hotel restaurants, but it was late and we needed to grab a bite. Their salad was large and extremely fresh. One could make a meal of it by itself. Hamburger is like you'd make on your grill at home. And, the crab cakes were excellent. The bartender knew what he was doing and was very pleasant and helpful. This place is worth a visit.

It's a nice place for a drink. It's centrally located and easy to get to. Parking is the normal street parking, everything is within walking distance. Marcus was thee best. He was very attentive and made our drinks to perfection. I chose the Apple martini, which tasted just like a green apple jolly rancher. It was the perfect mix of sweet, sour, and strong The ambiance is very laid back and sultry. They offer a variety of smoke drinks and even have a bitters maker. It's definitely a cool after work drink spot. Or even a Saturday night get away.

Enjoyed a beverage or two on the way out for the evening. The bartender was very engaging telling us stories of her travels and while listening to our plans for the evening. The smoke machine was not working so we did not get the "show". Hope it gets fixed for a future visit.

Delicious cocktails...ours were expertly crafted by Marcus! Marcus provided excellent service, by the way!

This was a really disappointing experience. It has been marketed like a cool, trendy, themed bar but is really just another hotel lobby bar. The drinks are overpriced and basic, and the only thing befitting the 'RX' title is the bartender wore a white coat. The bartender had no idea how to make basic drinks like sidecars, tequila sunrise, whiskey sour, etc. and was looking these up on his phone. Also, the bar was not stocked with the liquor needed for at least half the drinks in the 'menu'. I will literally never come back. Even if I stay at this hotel, I will walk somewhere else nearby for a drink.

Did not realize at first that this was a hotel bar, but after spending an evening there it makes more sense. It's in a fabulous location in Five Points, and adds a cool niche element to the already happening night life. I think this is a really neat place in theory - great aesthetic, interesting menu, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. First of all, the lights were incredibly bright and really threw off the vibe. When I went on a Friday night, there was sports playing on the TV in the bar. I completely get having a big game on, but there are TONS of sports bars in this area and this didn't seem like a big game. Sports on the TV in a trendy cocktail bar just didn't jive for me. I tried one of their smoked cocktails and I will say that it was very unique. I'd never had one quite like that before. The bartender, while incredibly friendly, did not know how to make the Manhattan so we went with the Old Fashioned instead. But at $15, it's a one time experience for me. I think that RX has A LOT of potential, and I would be interested in going back, but there is definitely room for improvement if it plans on competing in Bham's cocktail scene.

Located in the indigo hotel on the south side this bar is a play on being a pharmacy. Claims to be the only bar in bham that makes smoked drinks. Not true. But nonetheless still a pretty decent bar. Pricing typical of what you would find in a hotel bar. Overpriced lol. Small bites and entrees as well. The experience of seeing the bar keep make the smoked drink was pretty cool other than that though not much else.

Very nice place but bar needs to be bigger, it was standing room only. Bar tender, she was very nice and talkative. Only had the chicken quesadilla which was thick and loaded with chicken, delicious.
