Great Old Lady in the heart of downtown Birmingham! A very elegant home away from home for a special nights stay or extended stay. Wonderful roof top bar that over looks the Birmingham skyline. Big to be missed!

Arrived on a Sunday and that was 1st mistake. Nothing was open, the elevators were out of order the A/C didn’t work the ice machine didn’t work. Desk clerk recommended we not leave valuables in our car so had to completely unload. We would have gone to another hotel but were too tired to reload. Left to find a place for dinner and when we got to the valet for our car he gave us the keys. We had to go get it ourselves!!! Unbelievable. 2nd worst hotel experience we’ve ever had. A total rip off at any price but for what we were charged it was robbery.
There is a ton of construction in the area and it starts at 7am, so don't expect to sleep in. Valet is $30 a day to park 50 feet from the hotel, ridiculous. The roof top bar is really the best thing about the hotel. Breakfast sandwich we took to go and had cold eggs. Too late when we're 5 minutes from the hotel. Nothing special about the rooms and the shower was chipped and need to be touched up. The further elevator was scary as hell and definitely needs to be looked at. Not sure I'll be back.

The staff at this hotel are fantastic, but that's about the only positive I can give. If you are looking for a hotel that you can get a good night's sleep or really any sleep, keep looking. There is a rooftop bar that plays club music until about 1-2am. We were located in a corner room a few floors down from the bar, but the music reverberates down the building making it impossible to sleep. The windows are old single-pane windows so, once the bar closes down you get to listen to everything happening outside - which for our two nights seemed to involve a lot of people screaming back and forth at each other. The walls are so thin I could hear every noise coming from the room next to us or in the hallway. Good news though, the women in the room next to us seemed to be having a really great time! This hotel is not family friendly and is definitely only for the party crowd. In addition, everything is old - beds, bedding, furniture - the carpet was strictly shoes on at all times. They are serving alcohol, but no food yet - not sure why as I didn't think there were any Covid restrictions anymore?

Had a coconut milk cafe mocha and am kicking myself for not getting a 16oz - it's DELISH!!! The two gentlemen working this morning were incredibly nice, as well! Will be back next time I charge nearby!!!
