Wow that white sauce. First time having the white sauce. Don't know why more BBQ restaurants don't do chicken thighs but those were wonderful. All our meats and sides were very good. Can't wait to pass through again on our way back to Kansas.

Very good BBQ. The grits and green combo is very different but liked it. Our choices made us curious to try the other menu choices. We also had the loaded fries. Pork and chicken were really good and worth another buy

We stopped here last night after a basketball game at BJCC. We took a chance that this would be a good place to eat. We were wrong.
It was GREAT !!!
The pulled pork was very moist and delicious. Not a shred of dryness at all and SO much flavor.
The cheese grits are to die for.
The greens were very very good. The fried green tomatoes were top notch.
Our table had 8 at it. Everyone got something different and everyone loved what they got.
Absolutely NO complaints.
The wait wasn’t long for the food. Everything was delicious and fresh. I’m from Tuscaloosa and will go up there to eat again just because it’s that good.
The service was very good.
If you’re going as a large crowd on a weekend night there isn’t much room for a large group. The dining area has booths and a few tables you can push together but those were taken when we got there.
They have a bar area with lots of stools.
It’s delicious!!! Go there!! They do not disappoint!!
Oh- I have celiac and got the grits and greens over grits and it didn’t make me ill at all. Gluten friendly!!

All the way from NY to eat some soul food. The place has a rustic look and has typical Southern comfort food. Definitely try while visiting Birmingham, AL. Ben, the host really took care of us. Give it a go!

I love this place and would eat here more if the lighting were dimmed in the evening. It’s just too bright to relax and have dinner in the evenings. I write this in hopes the manager will see it and make a point of dimming the lights. Others feel the same. Service and food are wonderful!

Best chicken sandwich in Alabama. That being said, there is little service. You do everything yourself.

A great first experience with Southern BBQ. We were visiting from out of town and had never spent any significant amount of time in the South so were were very excited to get our hands on some BBQ and Saws knocked it out of the park.
A comfortable little restaurant, taking our order was a little on the slow side because the group ahead of us was quite large, however once we'd ordered, everything arrived quite quickly.
Everything was well prepared with comfortably sized portions; I was especially fond of the pulled pork which was really perfectly done.
Anytime we're in the Birmingham area we'll definitely be back,
