I’ve enjoyed Shipley Do-Nuts for decades. I bought 6 assorted donuts today. The overall quality was very disappointing. The cake donuts were small and oversaturated with sugary liquid. The donuts were dry and spongy. The chocolate glazed doughnut had a chemical aftertaste. With the choices of high-end donut shops around the Birmingham area, the lack of quality of Shipley‘s products is glaring. Maybe their ingredients and processes need to be reevaluated.

Went there for a second time & asked for a chocolate white creme doughnut & I got a lemon filled doughnut I guess good help is really hard to find Very disappointed in that place

If the size of the crowd, and number of parking spots that are not available, is any indication of how good this place is, then I don’t know what is. This place is tremendous for donuts. There was a line out the door at 7:30 this morning, and is a must for donut aficionado‘s in the Hoover area.
