I pass by this place all the time and decided to give it a try.
Food was tasty but very little chicken came in the order. It was almost completely rice and sauce, unacceptable for nearly $20.
They were swift with the food. Hardly no wait time during lunch hour. I spent ($16.34) $17.00 for the build your own meal-salmon, rice, Mediterranean salad, and a drink.
My daughter and I decided to try something new after her appointment at UAB. The man working FOH was helpful, outgoing and friendly, great service! We tried the Butter Chicken, Chicken Korma along with garlic Naan and onion Naan as well as the appetizer sampler. Generous portions, we had a lot to bring home but everything was AMAZING! We'll definitely stop by again the next time we're in Birmingham. Definitely give them a try, you won't be disappointed!
The butter chicken is to die for!!!
It is a small, simple place that is easy to miss, tucked in the corner of the building, but I found good food and a polite staff.
Good food, great service, clean space, and overall pleasant atmosphere. It's a hole in the wall restaurant that seems kind of understaffed and not very busy, so we were served quickly. They also do pickup and third party orders which is nice. Only complaint I have is that it is in a busy part of town with a lot of EMS passing through so it can be loud at times. Not the owners fault at all of course.
We had a fantastic meal at Sitar Indian Restaurant in Birmingham! My dad ordered the Lamb Biryani, and I went with the Lamb Tikka Masala at spice level 3 , it was rich, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. My mom tried the Sitar Biryani (a mix of chicken, lamb, and shrimp) at spice level 4 definitely brought the heat, but she absolutely loved it.
We also shared the onion & garlic naan, which was warm, fresh, and the perfect complement to our dishes. And the mango lassi? Smooth, refreshing, and just the right amount of sweetness to cool things down.
Service was excellent and the ambience was nice
Right by the UAB ambulance bay so it’s great for right after a good trama alert

Small place, the quantity of food was quite less. Ordered Paneer Pakora(decent taste), Dal Makani and Matar Paneer but the quantity of each dish was quite less not even enough for 2 people. Even though they didn’t mention in menu, they charge 1$ for each water bottle, and $2.19 for onions.
Not much of sitting arrangement and bad service with a lot of delays.
