Amazing food, great staff and beautiful space

So we attended Slide for brunch today for my niece bday. We placed our orders food came out everything was good. Drinks came out not so good me, my niece , and my cousin had lemon drops that tasted like dish water. We expressed our concerns to the manager she was like she made them wrong. My cousin asked could we get a refund or can some one redo the drink the manager said she was gonna go see how to give a refund but never came back. So asked a young lady had on grey jacket with braids for the owner i'm not saying any names becaue noone never gave them name except the young lady Maya she did a excellent job servicing us. Oky so we still waiting on owner to come out she never does, so me and my cousin goes to the bar we just standing there the manger lady# brown skin with dreads# at another bar. So a young dark skin young girl comes out with a attitude being rude so I had to tell her to get out my face and let me talk to someone else. So me and my cousin walks over to where the manager was so she processed to say our policy say we can't give a refund we said cool can we just get the drinks remade cause you said out your own mouth they was made wrong. Another employee says i'll make them over so we go back to our table drinks never comes. So we ask Maya can you get the owner she said I will go tell her. We sit and sit she still doesn't comes out. All we wanted was for our drinks to made the correct way and for the owner to be standing in the kitchen and not come out when a customer asked to speak with her about a problem they have with her business is bad business to me. Even though the food was good I would never go back because of she didn't try to correct the situation or even come out to listen to us.

I stand ten toes down with Slide Cafe. My food is ALWAYS fresh, cooked, flavored and worth each bite. To the naysayers stay home with the boiled hotdog water it’s a standard / a vibe at Slide Cafe.

The most horrible experience I’ve had at a restaurant. No customer interaction to modify your order, does not even offer modifications on the kiosk!! I was told if I didn’t like the food that’s my
Problem, I order the food how it came because you can’t modify and I got scrambled eggs with egg shells, the waffles were undercooked as well as the bacon, I asked for something else and was told I couldn’t change anything or get a
Refund. I just wanted something different but had to pay $80 for something I couldn’t even eat.

We was greeted by the sweetest young lady the vibe the seating, the service omg 10 out of 10 we enjoyed every bite the chicken & waffles were amazing and the food was hot i ordered sweet tea so delicious me and some close friends came from Mississippi to Alabama for a wedding that weekend anyone reading please stop through you will not be disappointed 😀

I completely love this place and I’m a tough critic so if I have an exceptional experience, I love to share my insights. The food is superb, great customer service and an awesome atmosphere. Slide cafe is good in my book, if I could give them 10 stars I would. This is my second time here, and I will definitely be returning!

No extra seasoning needed. The chicken & waffles were delicious. The waffles were soft & fluffy, I didn’t even need syrup. The chicken perfectly seasoned. No skimping on the seafood omelette, this omelette was stuffed with seafood. Ohh, & the island mimosa & pineapple mimosa were sparkling with just the right amount of prosecco. We’ll be back. 💜

Excellent service and food! The owner is super sweet and showed very nice hospitality to my partner and I as we visited from out of town. I will be visiting again very soon.
