Clean location, but you have to watch every entry at register. The cashier entered a more expensive sub and then got frustrated when I asked him to correct it. I then asked for a cup of water and he attempted to ring up a bottle of water. Finally, when I went to scan my card, it automatically added a tip. Overall, they attempted to increase the price at every turn. Based on the owners defensive reply below, it looks like the problem may start at the top.

Food always good. The workers here are always very nice to me. Sure, sometimes they are hard to understand but they are always patient with me and kind. I see a lot of people in these reviews complaining that they “forget an ingredient when you list it” but I think that’s just because they go too fast and expect the worker to have it memorized. We’re all just people and the workers at this subway are always really nice and trying!

Not cost effective - Are all subways charging $13 for a salad without meat?
I generally don't leave yelp reviews but I feel the need to on this occasion. The service was fine and the sandwich was fine, but I ordered a foot long Veggie combo and it was $15! I was so shocked by the price that I didn't say anything in the store. I double checked online to make sure I wasn't overcharged and found out that each individual store can set their own prices. The footlong Veggie at the Homewood location is $9.99, it is $6.49 at most other stores. Their sandwiches are 50% more expensive than the other subways downtown and in Crestwood.

Rude and slow service. They give you 1/2 the meat all the other Subway Restaurants in the BHM area put on their sandwiches. Also the parking lot is a nightmare with a completely blocked view when you are leaving.

A Thursday, and "the owner hasn't gotten bowls for chopped salads"?. Went in to order a bunch of them for a meeting and out of luck. Owner will order them when back from NY. Wow
