On Saturday 3 members of my family wanted to try this restaurant because we are new to the area. We arrived at 12:45. The guy who sat us walked to the first small table right inside the door and put the menus on the table and walked away. We are 3 regular size adults and he put us a table barely big enough for 2 people. He never came back and so we left! We watched him seat others but ignored us. Sad because we wanted to try this place because the food is supposed to be good but the first impression is bad!

Wonderful experience. Kathy at the bar was so welcoming and helpful. Food was delicious. Crab fried rice and the lemon cake were fabulous. The frose alone is worth the ride.

Chaz is the bomb. One of the best bartenders in all of Mountain Brook. Surf Hound has one of the best selections of cocktails and whiskeys I’ve ever seen. This is my new spot for sure.

Went to surf hound tonight with my buddy. we sat at the bar. The service was fantastic. the bartender Chaz was very attentive. Skylar was also very helpful and gave us wonderful service if we needed anything while Chaz was busy with other customers. will definitely be back

My friends and I love Surf Hound! A great place to get together and relax. Must try the bison burger (the frontier). All around great food and ambiance!

Went for appetizers and drinks. While the server was pleasant enough when we sat down and ordered our drinks, service went down from there. We waited 30mims for seafood dip. It wasn’t until I asked to see a manager that anyone actually showed concern. I will NOT be returning.

We had the best experience at Surf House! They were apparently short staffed, but we never would have known. Skylar was so attentive and pleasant as our server—even when we created some chaos (spilled drink, sent something back, etc). Everything was delicious! Highly recommend the Tuna Poke!
