The Anvil Pub and Grill

Went here for the first time today. Our neighbors recommended it and it was a great lunch date! Loved the atmosphere and music. Great ambiance. The service was friendly and prompt. My husband enjoyed the fish and chips and I had the fish enchiladas which the server recommended. It did not disappoint! Very good flavor. Both dishes were delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and will definitely be back!

Terrible customer service. Didn’t even get a chance to eat so I cannot review the food. We showed up a little after 1:00 on Friday. There was one couple at the bar. Maybe 4 tables occupied. My mom sat down at the bar while I ran to the bathroom. I get back and she mentions how she has not been greeted at all. An employee was leaving the bar area after dropping food to the couple a few seats down. Nothing was said to her. I sit down and the bartender came out from the back to help someone who walked in for a to go order. Again we were not greeted. I figured he was about to go grab the to go order. Nope. He went to the back and came back out and started messing with organizing the register area. Then he went to the back again. At this point we left. This place is supposed to be a little more upscale, but nothing about that service is upscale. So disappointing.

What a Fancy establishment! Had a quick drink here and the staff was very friendly and helpful! Definitely enjoyed coming here

I hosted a bridesmaids luncheon on Friday at the Anvil and it was everything I wanted it to be. From my first meeting with Sadesh, the attention to detail, and personalized communication were perfect. Our staff at the event were friendly, kind and attentive. The food was delicious. I am so thankful and happy to have found the Anvil and will be telling all of my friends what a wonderful experience we had here.

You must try Suya Wings and the Anvil burger. Best burger I have had so far. And it goes very well with Birmingham District beer. I am definitely coming back. I was on a work trip from Atlanta

We were looking for a great place since our favorite was closed and stumbled upon The Anvil. Because it wasn’t quite dinner and not really lunch time, we picked off the bar menu. I had high but realistic hopes. They absolutely knocked it out of the park. The service was amazing. Our food time was a very short window from ordering to served. The best part was the food tasted impeccable. My dry rub wings with a fire peanut sauce was an amazing afternoon snack. The burger with a lovely Aioli glaze and the most delicious pickles made our meal even more worth the disappointment of our favorite spot being closed. We will definitely be back and suggest you pay them a visit too.

My uncle took me here after dinner as a treat and it has a neat, classy vibe inside. I tried to order the Whippet Good, which I couldn’t resist because of the name, but instead ordered the spicy paloma because they were out of the ingredients to make the Whippet Good. The spicy paloma was good, and STRONG which isn’t typically a complaint! However for a work night it was more than I was expecting, haha! Still had a good time. Our bartender’s name was Zach and he was witty and charming. We sat at the bar, but the outdoor seating was so spacious and beautiful that I wish we had sat out there. It was perfect for a summery evening. The bathrooms were very clean and there was plenty of parking. I would come back!
