This place has some really good birthday cake fudge A+ but it was really expensive for the quantity. Yes, that one piece was 6 dollars. In my opinion it was a dollar too expensive. A slice of cake at Ashley Mac's is 5 dollars, I know everyone overhead is different still. Otherwise, the service was decent and everyone seemed nice. There was a variety of treats to pick from. I would recommend this spot to someone looking for a great tasting treat but don't care a lot about the price. 4/5
Wayne and the staff at Birmingham Candy Company are the best! Every time that I visit they are always super helpful. All of their candy is delicious and crafted from the highest quality ingredients! The only problem I have is deciding which one to try next!
Got the chocolate and Carmel covered apples? so worth it
This place is great. I had a cheesecake caramel apple and it was by far the best coated apple that I've ever had. I would love to visit this spot again during my next visit to the Pizitz.
Great selection of goodies and the staff member that helped us was SO friendly!
Decided to go to the Pizitz Food Hall downtown and I'm so mad I never been to this place before after 7 years in Birmingham. After getting lunch we saw the candy company on our way out and it's so many good treats! The workers were really nice and helpful and were very knowledgeable of the different desserts. They are so good and so rich. I love chocolate I would definitely go back!
Saw this place online and that it was in the Pizitz Food Hall. Decided to go there to check it out. So glad I did! First of all, let me compliment the owner on his outstanding customer service! A true people pleaser and very patient to answer all of our questions. He let us sample a couple of items before making a purchase. I created a little box of things I wanted to try. I got the crème brulee fudge, the caramel krispy kabob, a heart shaped southern praline, a huge chocolate covered strawberry, a double peanut butter ritz cookie, an orange candy dipped in dark chocolate, a key lime truffle, and a toffee piece of candy. I am very pleased with all of the items I got. The key lime truffle is by far my most favorite! It had a perfect key lime zing to it and was covered in creamy white chocolate resting on two pecan halves. The chocolate has a snap to it when you bite in to it. As for the other candies, the caramel is absolutely delicious. The fudge was not overly sweet and has a great crème brulee flavor. I cant wait to go back. So many choices that you want to try them all.
Delicious candies. We ordered a block of red velvet fudge, a peanut butter truffle, and a plain pecan roll. Everyone was well-pleased! Yum!!!
IT'S THE FUDGING BEST! I have been dying to come here. Saw it all over yelp and all over my Instagram feed. Got off work early today and decided to go into the Pizitz food hall since I did not eat lunch. Walked around a bit but nothing seemed to grab my attention. Then I saw it the Birmingham candy company was just there and man was it calling my name. I walked over to the counter. I was just going to look. If you don't know this yet, I have a major sweet tooth. I saw all the various types of caramel candies and I just HAD TO. I had to! I got 2 pralines, two bear claws and one square of chocolate and sea salt caramel fudge. The fudge was one of the best pieces of fudge I've ever eaten. It was creamy, silky, salty, and all around amazing. What I found surprisingly awesome was the fact that the counter with all the fudge didn't just have chocolate, vanilla and walnut fudge. They had so many different varieties of fudge. They had blueberry and lemon bar just to name a few. I really hope they make a raspberry and an orange fudge those would be great! The lady who was behind the counter was packing up my goodies and said "you must really enjoy caramel" I agreed and she said she will see me again soon. Wonderful experience! I will for sure be back. This was one hell of a find. if you are ever in the market for something sweet and delicious I highly recccommed this spot you will find something that you love!
Love Wayne and Cassie for their help with wedding shower hostess gifts. What do you get someone who has everything? Candy! They were very professional with suggestions, selections, and packaging. Greatest gifts ever!
SO GOOD! Wonderful treats made even better by wonderful service. A must every time I go downtown!
The best caramel I've ever had. We walked here from our nearby hotel looking for a sweet treat after lunch. We left with two boxes of goodies and came back the next day to take some home. So so good and inventive. Lots of selection from truffles to fudge to cookies and caramel squares. The fudge melts in your mouth and the caramel squares are to die for. The service was awesome too- very friendly and informative.
I had high hopes that we would be able to provide a nice gift of chocolates at the hotel for each of our out of town guests. I began trying to reach the owner in mid February. The wedding date was late March. I live out of state so I left messages for the owner twice over a week and a half. Then I drove to the shop, selected some options, spoke with the girl there and again asked for someone to contact me so we could work out the details. I have never received a single call back! I even asked our wedding planner to try to reach him and she only received an email with a questionnaire asking what type candies we were interested in. If he would call me or her as requested he would have known we already had that worked out because I went to the trouble to visit his shop from out of state. So rude and inconsiderate. I like supporting local businesses but can not support this one at all.
A bit expensive, and it taste like it!!! Soooo good, fresh and a great selection.
Very friendly staff! I stopped in and got the Tiger Butter Fudge, absolutely wonderful! I also got a couple of chocolate covered oreo's. The were great as well. You must pay them a visit if you're at or near the Pizit's food hall!
